  1. Iv just had my phone upgraded to the Original N95 (with Silver casing) and i must say its brilliant... dont listen to those people saying theres too many problems with it iv had mine nearly 2 weeks now and i cant fault it, it is said that the earlier versions of the N95 are not up to scratch because of the problems is because of the early firmware on them, if you upgrade to the latest one this usually fixes the problems with them. Iv got the latest firmware version on mine already and it came pre-installed with the phone (V20.0.015) and i have not ever experienced any problems with it yet. The only thing that isnt too good with this phone is the battery life, but im not really suprised because of the ammount of stuff that has been packed into this phone its bound to take a lot of battery life. The difference between the original N95 and the Black N95 8GB is that the black one has a slightly bigger screen (original N95 has a 2.4" the Black one has a 2.6") and also its touch screen, and as the title says it comes with 8GB of flash memory built in already and you cant upgrade the memory, also it has improved battery life etc.
  2. Yep my BIOS is up to date, i havent managed to use the drivers off the original motherboard CD as i havent got it but the drivers used are the ones off the Gigabyte website. Liam
  3. Nope its a Gigabyte K8N-Pro SLI. Liam
  4. Hi All, sorry if this might be the wrong forums to post this in but i know somehow this is hardware related rather than software related, my machine that i use at home which i have used for over 6 months, on and off some days after booting through windows and just before it comes up with the Welcome screen it just displays a blank screen and then nothing else, no hard drive activity what so ever. It only does this around 50% of the time and my dad first had my computer but he used to say he had this problem from around 3 months after he got it brand new but he could never solve what was wrong with it. The computer is just over a year old now, it either does this what iv just explaned or it will also just stay on the windows boot screen loading continuelesly for a while sometimes it will load into windows after a while or it will just restart the computer. I thought it might of been a hard drive issue bit it turned out i was wrong as i recently did a fresh install with my 250GB hard drive. I have a good feeling its likely to be my motherboard which is listed with my whole system info in my signature. Iv got all the latest updates for all hardware and software of my comp etc, So any other surgestions guys? Thanks - Liam
  5. Its funny that Microsoft have got soo many new fixes with the Service Pack and its not suprising that they have released a service pack soo early due to rushing Vista out at the start of this year. LEK

    Excel & Flash Games

A new craze that is going on at my school as well is that the Year 9's have done HTML on there ICT work. Now they they are saying that they are just doing HTML work at lunchtimes and they are allowed to place games on there HTML pages to test them but they use this as an excuse just to play the games. 7. They shouldnt be downloading any illigal software at all, especially games as anyone else would think that the teachers are just playing games all the time and that there laptops are just for educational needs etc. you should tell them straight or take the laptops off them to re-image them. Also i thought the Ports that are used for downloaders like Torrents and iTunes were blocked in school's? L.E.K
  8. Here where i work some of the projectors have lasted for over 4 years. But some oif these NEC ones which we have had for over 3 years the bulbs in them are starting to explode :? lol L.E.K
  9. Elipse software can be a right pain to install. The version we have at our school and when i got round to installing the software i had to go through all the updating to the latest version for it to get it working properly LEK
  10. The N95 is a nice phone as well but there are quite a few problems / bugs with the phone. One of the most noticable bugs with it is the phone restarting itself while in a phone call etc. Maybe at some point soon i would like to upgrade to this phone if they find a fix for it all or maybe even the Sony Ericsson K850i LEK
  11. Yeah as other people have said the DIDA course might be a good option, i didnt do the course but i know other people who have done it and in someways it is easier rather than GCSE I.T in Schools. LiAM
