Thanks for that clarification Dagaz. From past experience these type of environments track mouse hooks and keyboard hooks which Read&Write also uses for Screen reading and Spell Checking. There is an immediate conflict which causes both programs to stop responding. It is very difficult to support software with these applications as we cannot get logins to replicate the issue inhouse. Dear Fluke Can you give me a bit more information on what Promissor is? I would be able to advise if I knew what kind of software it is. One thing I thought of is that the Read&Write demo is virtualised and that may explain why the demo worked whereas the installed version may not. Eimear Texthelp Technical Support

As Round2It explained, a Managed User installation allows user settings to be saved in a central location (eg a shared folder on a server) and using the Teacher's Toolkit, these settings can changed or Activity Logs can be viewed. An Unmanaged User setup does not use the Toolkit or save User Settings to a folder. They are just saved in the student's Window's profile. Regarding the prediction issue that Round2It described, if you restart the PC after installation you shouldn't have to edit the registry. Let me know if you have any issues.
