  1. Thanks so much to all of you for your detailed replies. We have third line support from an IT company they have quoted for the work to be done at 4 grand, obviously you dont know the complexity of the network or other factors but as a guess would you say this is reasonable?
  2. Hi, I am just wondering what technical work would need to be carried out from a school technicians point of view when changing the ISP for the school? Thanks
  3. Good morning, One of the classrooms this morning is having a very frustrating problem when trying to calibrate. Each time i open the calibration display and press the first precision point the calibration display turns off and goes back to the PC display. I have noticed that the flame in the top right corner also turns blue (however this might be because i am quite close to it when pressing the first calibration point?) Any help will be much appreciated Thanks
  4. Hi all, I have a problem with a projector in 'the heart of the school'. What it is, is the PC feeds into a splitter box which then sends out a mirrored image of the PC to each dv signal to 1 of the 2 projectors. The problem is one of the projectors is darker than the other. I have replaced both bulbs and colour wheels to no avail. I have also checked all settings match up with the other projector and they do. Nothing seems to help it, the only way i can describe it is as if someones put a dark tinted colour filter over the lense on what of the projectors which is now making the colours less faded and the image not as sharp. I hope someone can help Thanks Scott
  5. We have 6 projectors installed within the 'heart of the school' they have been an absoloute nightmare turning on and off so we installed a peice of offical software from the suppliers of the projector (which is NEC) called 'PC Control Utility Pro 4'. Everything worked fine for around 6 month, I could turn all projectors on and off whenever i wanted smoothly. All projectors are connected via ethernet cable from the main PC into a router with 6 ethernets going out to each projector i have looked at the router everything is flashing green i have also tried resetting the router to no avail. Each projector has been pinged and was looking fine as I received all packets. The software just shows a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in it saying it cannot connect. Does anyone have any idea's what else I could try to troubleshoot it? Thanks Scott
