  1. BUMP*** We have the same issue here on our network. One of our finance team need this setup and wondered if someone could point me in the right direction. We use Gmail as our college email system and have our own domain. Would firewall settings prevent this? Would our smoothwall need some entries around smtp? I'm currently looking into this but i'm not getting anywhere. Thanks Lee
  2. Hello All We have had major problems opening serif and have been advised that all users should open all serif programs holding down CTRL which will reset local user settings. Whilst this is a fix, our users can forget to do this and it causes problems in the classroom. This seems to relate to the 'user data' paths in the programs. I'm not entirely sure, the fix is holding CTRL but this isn't perfect for our students. Does anybody have any guides/advice as I've rang support about this and i've not really got anywhere with them other than holding down CTRL. We run Windows 7 clients on a Windows Server 2012 network. Any help would be grateful. Many Thanks Lee
  3. Hi Kathabell Can you tell me if you had to purchase a KMS hosk key? I'm in the same boat as you and need to know how to enter this in our Windows 2012 R2 activation process. Thanks
  4. Yes we are especially for guests/visitors onto our network
  5. Adding onto this thread, does anyone have smoothwall (Guardian 3) working with Meraki AP's for Guest/Staff/Student access? I've setup an SSID for guests in NAT mode and configured a splash page. However the internet was working for around 1 hour but then it requires proxy access. Smoothwall dialed in and configured a transparent proxy but this now doesn't give the guest user the 'Splash Page' nor does any traffic shaping, firewire configuration work on the device. In a nutshell, the internet and some apps work fine but no Meraki config we have setup seem to work on this. Anyone shed some light into what my problem could be, Smoothwall are taking too long to get back to me. Cheers in advanced!
  6. Hello jay Sorry should have mentioned.. This happens for systemadmins and I have RM Type Manager installed Cheers Lee
  7. Our users use Google apps and have started to use 'Google Sites' at home and on the network. Users can use google sites fine at home but the display is not right (icons thrown all over the place) on the network. It used to have an option to change from 'new look to old look'. Basically the old look worked and the new look didn't but it looks like Google have removed the option and have now decided to use the new look at standard now. We use smoothwall filtering and don't believe it's a filter issue. We have tested on Firefox and google chrome and it works fine. It also works fine on a non-CC3 laptop connected to our ISP through Smoothwall. Our default internet explorer is IE8 on the CC3 network. We think it might be a GPO setting. But we have no idea. Has anyone any advice or experience with this issue? Kind Regards Lee Coulter
