One of my schools has an TASKalfa 520i it is the worst photocopier I have ever come across, its slow, the user interface is rubbish, temperamental, the office staff cant stand it, took 10 minutes yesterday to decide it was out of tonner.

Ive made a bit of a boo boo, Attempting to repair a windows system, I accendently started formatting the hDD, it got 20% before I stopped it. Does anyone know how I can recover the users data from the drive?

I need to disable Standy Mode when the user closes the lid of a laptop (I have 120 to do) Ive tired powercfg but it doesnt seam to want to change this option, importing exporting the reg keys in powercfg didnt work either. Does anyone have any ideas??? (why?? kids arent shutting the laptops down properly just closing the lids, and the wireless doesnt seam to want to work when coming out of sleep mode)

One of the TA's I work with has pretty much taken over the role of ICT Co-ordinator, shes being doing this for some time and has asked for a pay rise in respect of the extra duties she has taken on, she was told that she needs a formal qualifcation, but no one seams to know what (not even the person who said one was needed) Does anyone have any recommendations?

Cant say which processor, its from RM, for use in a primary school. mostly web stuff, flash games (educational of course) may be a bit of word processing, not to stressful

Does anyone have any experance of running Windows 7 Pro (or business ed cant remember what you call it now) on a netbook with Atom proccessor and 2gb of ram my gut feeling is that it will be painful, is my gut wrong?

Just noticed all my DHCP leases have an icon of a computer and clock. What does this mean, the DHCP logs are all ok and everythings working? Have MS just changed the icon to confuse people?

The bill for photocopier use came though, SMT nearily exploded when they saw it support form upstairs may not be a issue.

Cheers this is a bit up the air at the moment, need to get the server working first, Log shipping sounds intresting, not something Ive herd of before.

Our SIMS server just died and is currently waiting replacement parts (next day support contract, but the parts arnt in stock!!!!) Its got me thinking is there away to have SIMS running on two servers so if one failes the end users dont notice?

Partion Commander is good for this Job, used it many times in the past, but does take hours to run and costs £. -
I need to set the permisons on the home folders of my users to just the user and the administrator having full control. The user name is the same as the folder name, is there an easy way to do this? Folder stucture d:\HomeFolders\User1 .......................\user2 .......................\user3
