  1. Contact Sahara Presentations on 02083197700 who should be able to help.
  2. You can expect anything from 10 to 15 years life span, manufacturers quote 50,000 hour minimum back light life. However lamp replacement isnt possible. I'm over Newbury way, any questions on touch LCD am happy to answer, hope you managed to get to see some on Monday!
  3. Unusual for both screens to have the same problem at the same time! Is there anything resting in the reflective strip around the screen? If not give Sahara a call to log a fault, contact details here:- Sahara Presentation Systems - Contact Us
  4. If cost of ownership over time is an important criteria then an interactive LCD would be the answer.
  5. Don't forget 65" LCD is as wide as a 78" interactive board and the lower height helps shorter teachers! Add the high definition display most classrooms can cope with this screen size.
  6. Wolfvision used to manufacture a ceiling mounted visualised, maybe they still do? Top end pricing but equally very high quality
  7. There a few schools in the Newbury area with the Clevertouch screens, pm me and I can give you the names.
  8. Lots of nurseries are installing touch screen LCDs nowadays, removes all issues of projectors at crazy angles or risk of banging heads! I know the CleverLCD includes Smart compatible software maybe look at that? They are pretty price aggressive too. There is a separate discussion about them in this forum.
  9. The downside of interactive projectors is that if you lose the pen, you are 'up the creek without a paddle' so to speak and I don't think the pens are cheap to replace. You will get a demo of the CleverLCD free of charge too, just ask your AV dealer to organise it.
  10. Pic on the Loxit website shows the CleverLCD!
  11. Surely an interactive LCD is a better bet than an interactive whiteboard? Much better display technology, easy for the children to use and no chance of an adult banging their head on the projector when at a low height! For nursery school children I would have thought a 55" LCD solution would be sufficient, unless the room is particularly big. Loxit supply a very good wall lift that can take the weight to the floor on a stud wall.
  12. Would like to get at least 70 inch ones. Thinks if we were to go for this we would need 6 or 8 at one time and another 10 at another time (cant remember how many new classrooms in our new building is) There is quite a price hike between 65 and 70". Don't forget these are widescreen 16:9, so a 65" is as wide as a traditional 4:3 whiteboard. Also being high definition they are much clearer for the children to see.
  13. 46" CleverLCD available in 2 weeks time!
  14. CleverLCD comes with 4mm reinforced glass on models to 60" and 5mm thick on the 65" and above. Glass is rated to UL1950 which is a 0.5kg steel ball swung into the glass from a metre. Backlight life is minimum 50000 hours in some cases 60000 hours.
