hi, i've followed the steps you posted on how to fix this problem but i keep running into a problem that nobody else seems to have run into? i open regedit using Run but when i look for the folder \CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Layers, the folder isn't there (i screencapped it here- mediaDOTtumblrDOTcom/tumblr_lyha1y2oZU1qm3dvtDOTpng, just replace the DOTs with "." since i can't add links) is there another folder i can go to? or a solution to this? i really just want to get Steam running again and i'm very frustrated. i'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit thank you in advance for any help
