Most residential broadband has slow upload unless you pay for an upgrade to the upload speed. I personally don't require a high upload at home. What is odd though is how my phone gets nearly 5meg upload. Baffling!

I am aware the pirate bay can still be accessed on virgin media: Download music, movies, games, software! The Pirate Bay - The galaxy's most resilient BitTorrent site and @CESIL - I'm with you, I've not had any problems with them.. Always had top customer service, and speed has never dropped. Uptime is fantastic. Cant complain. I don't understand all the bad press they get.

Had a nice little surprise when I got home today, I downloaded a 2.5GB video file in less than a minute! At first I thought there was a problem with the download but after checking the file I realised this was not a dream! Went over to good old speedtest.net and my result came out at 60MEG! Seems virgin have done as prommised for once and speed has doubled.. let's see how long this lasts! haha (here's the result)

I did... saw it last week! Best film this year!!

Hello fellow edugeek's! I'm Adam, i'm 20 and from central Lancashire, I've been working in IT since the first day of leaving school, worked in schools for 2 years and private sector for 3 years. Currently working freelance as a web developer utilizing my skills while i'm not in work. Also working hard applying for the rare amount of ICT Tech work there is going at the moment in this area. Desperately want to get back into education/public sector. Besides all that I'm a self confessed apple fanboy, a trekie & marvel fan. I've been a member here for a while but couldn't remember my previous account details as I haven't used the forums in a while. Will be doing a lot more now though.
