I am using a build floppy created with build manager.

Hi all, I have searched the BIOS to death and have found nothing regarding SATA settings with the exception of disabling them. This is really starting to annoy me as I cannot find a resolution. The LEA are less than helpful and we do not have a contract with RM (They just refer me to the LEA.) It has got to be something small, but I feel so stupid for not being able to find it!!

Thanks guys. This is my first CC3 build so I don't know how the other were done or went. I will have another look in the bios. I had a feeling it has something to do with the SATA drive.

This happens on the three machines I have tried. It was the guy from my LEA said it was failing after the HDD prep, but I'm not sure it gets that far. I insert the disk, name the station, enter U/N and password for the setup user. Network connects fine give it a location and then it formats the drive and creates backup partition and XP partition (Blue screen grey scroll bars). After this the PC reboots and I get the error.

The sequence is HDD, CD, Floppy. I have tried CD, HDD and just HDD but i still get the same error.

Howdy, Being new to CC3 and my employers not seeing the need for training I am looking for help. We have a set of new RM Ascend 2040A workstations. When trying to build them I get as far as the HDD prep and the reboot. After this i get the following error: "reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device. Press any key to continue..." I have all the required hardware support packs and have followed the instructions as given by RM. What am I doing wrong? If any one could help I would be the happiest techie alive! Thanks In advance.

I have been loaned to a local primary school that is running a CC3 network. I have been able to do most things asked so far, but this one has me beat. I am trying to get a simple batch file (all it does is copy a file) to run at staff logon. I have no idea where the startup scripts etc are or how to amend them. Any help advice or instructions would be greatly appreciated.

Just found out that as of September my services are no longer needed. Strange thing is I am really happy about it. I think the fact that I don't want the job must have come across in the interview. Yep me and the other techie had to be interviewed for our own jobs. They let it until now to do them even though they knew in April the school was out of cash and one of us would have to go! Oh well back to Uni for my masters then. So I guess the best way to quit is to apply for the job in my case. Just a shame I didn't get the job so I could inform them where they could place their job!!!!

Cheers Penfold, as HeeBeeJeeBee suggested I needed the domain name in caps. I apologise for blaming your script...

I don't get an error, I just don't see any change in the path for the temp variables and SIMS doesn't register the change either. I am using the correct Netbios Domain name. Any further help would be more than welcomed...

[ms office - 2007] Office '07 Graphics Printing Trouble
new-2-this posted a topic in Office Software
Right, had a quick search for this or similar problems to this but... Some student are experiencing problems when printing grahics and other media from office '07 apps. symptoms seem to be charts with areas missing etc or WordArt with letters missing. The printer is a Brother mono, but has no problems with other apps. Anyone had anything similar and found a fix? -
Can anyone confirm that the script devised by penfold works? I have tried it and am still unable to print! (Whole SEN dept. are moaning at me ). The domain is correct and if I change the temp variables manually all works fine. If i run the script I get the error!

I used the compound yesterday and it seemed to work fine. Yes it is celcius, had to check though!

Anyone know why a P4 30.ghz would be running at 85 degrees idle? Having applied new compound as the old stuff was no existant. Its still running hot though. The temps are taken from bios on a foxconn board btw. Its running the stock intel cooler. Any suggestions or would it just be worth getting a better heatsink fan combo?

Hi all, Does anyone know how/if its possible to find the total number of users that have connected to our Terminal Server since it went live. I have tried a few scripts none of which correctly. Any advice would be welcome!
