Its been awhile so forgive me if it isn't there anymore... there used to be a NOVA T4 installer/exe in the SIMs Setups folder.... I had a school who used to have a shortcut to Nova T4 on their desktops for awhile as they didn't like T6 in the end the decision was to delete this so they had to use T6 (must admit I preferred T4 for a long while after T6 came out)

I'd create a user defined group containing the pupils you can also create reports on user defined groups so reports into Excel, mailmerge etc might be easier to manage? All depends on the types of things you are planning on managing within SIMS?

Thanks, I have tried this but still having problems...... Deadlocks are also appearing when using different areas of SIMS.

I have a school who is getting about 3-12 database deadlocks within SIMS everyday. They seem to be appearing when Registers/Edit marks routines are bing used within SIMS. I suspect that this is performance related so far I have tried: Installing a Reindex Patch Switching off homepage widgets Archiving Attendance Marks Shinking the LDF etc I have a trace running and the school is still getting database deadlock error messages, Capita have the log files but I was wondering if anyone else has ever had a similar problem?

You can run the run the Delete unlinked contacts routine - the merge facilities are for adresses, agents and agencies.
