Thank you for your replies. Have searched on here, and have got either high priced management software, or the fact that people are using outlook, which is what we would like to get away from. The only other sort is that huge industries are using, which is more of a project management, which would not work in our environment. Any ideas, or if you could let me know what you are using. We are in a School, so will need to be fairly inexpensive, and very easy for staff to log faults, and obviously slightly more indepth for our use.

Still not fixed, in progress still though. Infact I am dedicating myself one day a week to it!

Not sure where to post this, so here seemed the best place. As our ICT equipment is expanding, our current method of staff reporting tasks to us is no longer good enough. We are looking for something fairly inexpensive, easy for staff to have an icon on their desktop and log their own faults, and something they can check to see the updated progress by us in ICT. Saying that, if its easy to use even a piece of software on the web. We would like to be able to adapt the software for our own needs, as our Site staff department would also like to use it. Thanks, we done that, but the 'r' doesn't seem to have anything to do with read only. We cleared all the attributes for every user, and they are slowly creeping back one by one, and again, the ones with the 'r' can not log in to the mac side...

We did have our DC fail and copied the work areas across from an external hard. Does anyone know how to change them in groups rather than user by user?

Hey, Sorry, not very good at explaining. Thats not what it is. They log on to windows fine, can save/open work ect, everything works fine till they try log in to Mac w/s when it won't let them. We have GP and ranger working side by side, I have tried before to change it, works for some students, not for others.

In the users shared home directory folders on the DC server. Also, as an aside and to save making new post, not too important - anyone know how to change all the backgrounds using ranger. Thanks

We have just noticed a log in problem with some dual boot machines. Only with some users, and have noticed the users who cannot log on have a 'r' under attributes. Have checked accounts with and without this 'r' and they don't seem to be any different. Does anyone know what this 'r' is? Have checked the obvious like read only ect. Thanks, Claire

Its not the mice that are the problem, its our new look pc desks. I have 30 being sent now from a company just a few more to go lol

Not that simple, we need about 60 of them, and our buisness manager wont pay for them, He states they should be supplied with every mouse.

Hi everyone, Not been on here much latley, moved house and not got internet sorted yet. Im after a bit of help for work. I work in a school, and we normally get free mouse mats sent to us, but we havn't had any in over a year.
