  1. Are their home directories mapped using a dfs path? I recently ran into where certain versions of osx cant read a dfs home directory path and was forcrd to upgrade the os
  2. I've been using the logon script provided by GAS, everything runs but the email wont send because the users cannot send email. Is there a line I can add for authentication or something else I can do so I get the email alerts? Thanks in advance!
  3. Hi everyone, this site has bee na great resource for me for a few issues and I'm hoping it can be again. We are currently using office 2010 throughout our schools and cannot search for clip art in any of the office applications. Office 2007 seems to work fine but we cannot get 2010 to work even though we have made all the recommended exceptions in our proxy. Any and all ideas are appreciated! RA
  4. Just thought of doing this for a couple of our "problem" students and I'm glad you guys already figured it out. Thanks GAS!
  5. We just sent out a GPO that changes the file permissions on task manager to prevent the temporary profile from accessing it. So we are about to deploy Edulock and sit bit and relax until the next kid tries to get smart. I think we are going to pass the work to the teachers also. lol Keep up the great work! Ryan
  6. Steve, Thank you for the quick response. I was just curious about the newer version, the older one is fine for my needs. On our student accounts task manager is disabled, but when the student does the network cable trick, the temporary profile loads and task manager is enabled along with everything else. I assume the techs in my school that created the default account never setup limitations, so thats why I'm turning to you. My question about hiding it would be, if edulock runs at startup which is my plan, will it attempt to open taskmanager and bring up a "task manager has been disabled" message everytime. I'm sure I can push out the registry key to disable taskmanager on the local machine. Was just hoping edulock would take care of everything if possible. Again, thank you for the great software and all the hard work! Ryan
  7. Steve, Thank you for creating such a useful program. I have 2 questions if you don't mind. 1. Where can I download the newest version. 2. We have been testing the software and found that even with it, if a student launches task manager, they can kill the process. Any ideas or changes you can make to avoid that? Thank you so much! Ryan
