  1. Hi, If your still having connection issues, check these settings; 1: Ensure the Baud rate is set to 96k in device manager 2: If the OMR is a CD200 series, set flow control to Hardware 3: Ensure the Baud rate set in device manager is the same setting in SIMS Failing that give the DRS helpdesk a call. Although we wont support the USB/Serial device we will try to get the issue resolved. Thanks Andy
  2. Here you go. All instructions must be preceded with a '+' sign. When you 1st switch on an OMR it must be 'Framed' to set the baud rate, stop bits etc. Send a stream of '+U+*+U+*'. Only commands supported by DRS’ current range of readers are shown here. See SOS help for detailed description of these commands. +Command Function Notes ! Reboot # Unpick $ Set clock track 5 % Set mark algorithm 5 & Row offset (Virtual clock) A ( Load printer P ) Print P " Purge all sheets * 1 (and 2-9) Increment buffer < Single sheet mode *,8 > Multi sheet mode *,8 = Echo next character ? 3. Let me dig them out & I'll let you know when I have them. Andy
  4. If you want, give me a call on the DRS helpdesk 01908 355115. If your going to call, fax me a copy of a REG form 1st & include the OMR serial number on the header, 01908 607668 FAO Andy McLean. I'll have a look for you. The helpdesk is a free service. Andy
  5. Hi, If the barcode is being read then I'd not worry about the position so much. The red dotted lines are just a guide. Any adjustments to print offset are global, so all other printed details will move. Andy
  6. Hi, Would you like a list of the OMR commands?
  7. Most of the previous suggestions should work. It may be an issue when you change log ins from Admin to User. Check the port numbers & Baud rate are the same in hardware manager & SIMS. Log in as the User then try & make any changes then. You may be promted to sign in as Admin when making the changes. Seen this a few times. No rhyme or reason sometimes for the prob. Just Windows being a pain....

    OMR problem!

May be a bit late, but have you checked the floppy disc? The read/write sensor can sometime be covered in dust. Take the Floppy disc out, take a deep breath then blow into the FDD itself. This should clear any dust. If that does not solve it can be 1: Corrupt disc 2: Dead CMOS battery? Both are fixable.
