As subject, hasn't backed up for 12 weeks now... Just says "calculating time ..." then progress bar stays at about 10% for an hour or so , then errors out saying backup can't be done.. Ipad2, plugged in, icloud logged in, reporting 4.5G of 5G left. Any ideas..... ?

We use Xirrus here, have done for 2 years now and no problems. We run a laptop per child scheme so we needed a beefy, reliable system. I can honestly say that I haven't had any staff calling me re. wireless problems ...... Tom

We have been fortunate enough to have taken advantage of the Sun advantage program... 2 4150 Sunfires with 56 Gb Ram each for the price of 1.... linked to a Dell iscsi target. 6 servers on each with failover, HA etc. Yes and space for data areas. 2 servers are Novell. Implementing this month.... Oh yes ESX enterprise on both..

Hi, anyone come across a problem with Lanschool, not using the default IP on a Vista machine? I have 3 IPs defined, but LS insists on not using the first default IP. As I remove the secondary IPs it then works, but reverts to the secondary as soon as I add it - even with LS still open. Any help appreciated. Tom Paes

We use it here in darkest Surrrey as well. NW6.5 sp5 and xp clients everywhere and 40 ndps printers - 1 box. By the way could anyone point me in the right direction to enable getting Imacs to log into my netware server? Tom

Pcounter here as well. Works as server side app - no clent install. Very good, on both Novell & Windows.

I have looked at enterprise wireless in depth now (for schools). Extricom impressed me until I discovered that every access point had to be directly wired to their controller switches. As we are a multi building site, this would have been very expensive as the controllers are pricey. I have since discovered Meru networks, which work on a similar channel bonding system but can route APs back to central controller via fibre. I will be going to their reference school - Heathlands very soon to see it in action. We intend to issue each student with a laptop..... Tom

We have a similar system in place, however we also have remote control software (Lanschool) that allows us to control single/multiple machines from the logon window. We use it to login as admin - disable Centurion(Deepfreeze lookalike) and then make changes - enable protection. Very easy. You need Lanschool... Tom
