If its a free .co.uk the compromise was probably that their favicon is on every page and they display everything in an ugly iframe. If you can change DNS records directly, add an A record to the public IP of your EC2 instance. If you can change the domain's nameservers, try another DNS host (cloudflare is good) and use them for your DNS records. Otherwise, i recommend transferring your domain.
