  1. hi people, new to apple mac's and have a fauly hard drive... could someone tell me how easy it is to replace a hard drive in a macbook and reintsall it with lepoard via the "upgrade" disks that came the the macbook (came with tiger and set of upgrade disks straight from apple store just as new operating system came out!) cheers Ian

  5. what do you expect - allways take the SOLUS release date with a pinch of salt ! i always add a week onto the release date of all capita releases !
  6. regarding moving the SIMS db to another location - yes you will have to move the ms sql folder as per instructions the following... 1) i'd copy the sims.ldf and sims.mdf from you ms sql folder - typically c:\program files\microsoft sql server\mssql$sims\data - there you should find your sims.ldf and.mdf 2) i would remove sql server (SIMS) from add\remove program files 3) delete the instance of sql server (MSSQL$SIMS) from your program files folder. 4) reinstall SQL Server on another partition (d:) 5) use dbattach to re attach your sims.ldf and .mdf files to your sims system 6) go into SIMS and make sure that is stll works... but before all that i would request a copy of shrinkdatabase.bat from your LA or capita as this will shrink your SIMS db and give you some free space on your server (or download the one i've uploaded with this post ... hope this helps?   7. office 2007 is okay to install from august when capita support it ! some of our schools are alraedy using office 2007 and have been for a few months !
