I have installed some digital signage that is showing a looping PowerPoint in the hallway for the days announcements. The ppt is on a shared network drive that the teachers can open and insert a new slide with their announcement. What I am trying to do is create some sort of theme or master slide that won't allow them to change the theme, font, background, etc.. so each slide has a consistent theme. Does anyone know of a good way of doing this? Or a totally different way? Thanks!

I have done the registry settings as mentioned in KB941158 but I still have the same problem. Once I type in the username and password of a student with a mandatory profile, it looks like it is going to go fast, but there is still around 20 seconds where nothing happens. I have all updates installed, my mandatory profile is around 1mb.... hmmm

I've tried the hot fix mentioned above, but since I have sp3 installed it said the hotfix wasn't needed. When other domain users log in without the mandatory profile, it is a lot faster, around 8 seconds. There are a lot more policies that I have set on my student mandatory profile, but are those supposed to take that long?

I am using mandatory profiles with Windows XP and Server 2003. It works, however it is just slow. I've checked the size of the profile and it is around 1mb, so I didn't think that was it. I am using desktops connected to Ethernet, so no wireless issues. I did some reading on here that said to use policy manager, so I tried that and found a delay in "Internet Explorer Branding" I have attached that picture. If anyone has any advice, it would be much appreciated. There is a delay of about 20 some seconds. I have all MS updates on both client and server.

Would it be possible to have a flat panel monitor showing the calendar of the bookings mounted on the wall outside of our ITC? We currently print of each week, but a monitor would be so cool. I'm trying to figure out how it would update the day automatically and what I would have to plug the monitor in to. Thanks in advance!

I have a student that created a document using "Pages" on her Mac at home. However, she took it to school, but can't print it, because we have all pc's. Does anyone know of any program or any way that I can convert this for her? Thanks in advance!
