Can't decided between an HP DL360 or DL385. There's only just over £100 difference in price. The DL385 seems to have move expansion space (thinking about fitting an internal tape drive). Your thoughts?

What are the permissions required on an AD machine account just to rename it and no other admin functions. I'd like to initiate renames on the client side without using a domain admin account. Thanks DFM

Isn't there meant to be some sort of conversion process or is that only for RIPREP images?

You should be able to using normal unattended install methods. I can't remeber whether it's via unnattended.txt or a sif file.

Well I kind of figured that's what I had to do but the manufacurers instruction gave the opposite impression. Mounting switch (i.e placing it in a 'telco' rack) is step 4 , whereas connect a console to switch is step 8. HP seem to think its OK to connect devices to the switch before configuring it. Infact the configuration is said to be 'optional'. As for me, I just wanted to get it in the cabinet ASAP then configure and then attach devices. So why, when all other managed switches have front facing ports, does 2600 series have ones at the back? Re-grrrr It needlessly lengthens the profile of the switch as you have to keep the serial lead connected permanently cos there's no way you can just attach and detach as and when you need like with other switches. Maybe some people are lucky enough to have cabinets with 360 access Sorry I'll carm down now.

And which joker at HP had the bright idea of putting the console port at the back :angryfire:

Yeah but how do you fit them. TravelMates just don't seem to want to be disassembled.
