I thought SOLUS3, SIMS and FMS were looking good for compatibility but unfortunately SIMS reports will not run, giving a COM class error. This could be a show stopper for us.

I'm already on 10240 at home, which is effectively RTM. It's nice and stable and fast (on an SSD).

Pro for us, which definitely has Bitlocker in it.

I've called as many in as I could for the summer break. These will receive an SSD and will have Windows 10, Office 2013, BitLocker encryption etc. installed on them. As soon as I have the W10 Pro image for MDT, I can make a start. The rest will be trickle-fed to us in September and we'll get through them. All of our machines will receive W10, including the classroom suites, Smartboard PCs and staff tablets. Any staff who do their own W10 installation will just have it wiped and imaged by us, anyway.

Yes, I'm waiting for the VL downloads. I think any 10240 ISO will be missing the install.wim file anyway, so will not be usable with MDT.

Ok, that didn't work as the ISO created is missing install.wim, which is required by MDT. Sneaky Microsoft! So, does anyone know when the Volume Licence ISO images will appear as downloads? I guess I may have to wait until 29th?

10240 definitely seems to be RTM. It has also sorted the issue we had with logging in to the domain, now working. I've made an ISO from it and will work to get it into MDT to start testing deployment.

Can anyone tell me where the proxy settings have gone in Windows 10 Mobile? I'm on 10166 and the proxy settings just aren't there any more after press-and-holding the wi-fi connection and selecting edit. Any ideas?

Is anyone finding Mail a little buggy? Really nicely written mail app, but has a tendency to crash on certain messages. Always reopens fine. Maybe it'll be fixed in 10166 although I think it's going to need a new version from the Store.

I shall be rolling it out to our tablet users as soon as I can as they need every bit of performance they can muster (Dell Venue 11).

I sense that there is even more optimisation for SSDs than before - the startup time with a Samsung 850 Evo is amazing. Otherwise, they got a lot right in W8.1.

It's ok for us VL users, but many users don't have media for their OEM Windows installations. The upgrade route Microsoft have taken seems ok to me. People can just wait a day or two.

I'll be moving everything - desktops, laptops and tablets, to W10 hopefully this year.

Same here - everything that runs W8.1 so far has been successful with W10.

Thanks for this information, I was on SCCM 2012 R2 CU3 and will now attempt to apply SP1. I still find SCCM is very hit-and-miss about deploying SCEP, sometimes for some reason it simply will not do it by adding a device to an EP collection but it will do it if we add it to a different EP collection. I've never got to the bottom of it but keep hoping the next update will fix it.

Edge is superb in 10158.

Wow, just got 10158 in and like its stability.

Edge is very good in desktop 10130 and seems to have become properly good in Mobile 10136, even sporting the new logo and name. Performance is improving with every iteration, too. It doesn't measure that fast on a Lumia 930, but it's early days and phone browsers never seem that quick.

Mail has a habit of crashing, but can always be recovered. Annoying, though, because it often closes Spartan (and therefore all your tabs) at the same time.

The combined Windows Phone and Windows 8/8.1 store is in beta and, together, will offer a lot more unified apps. To be honest, there's nothing I need that is not available.

Windows 10 Mobile 10149 came in yesterday. Better stability, proper live tiles, smoother animations. Looking good and up to the desktop version now for general all-round usability.

Agreed in principle, however most non-techs don't know what they need and make decisions based on emotions. Good technical staff can match school needs with the support requirements, security, ease of maintenance, performance and other criteria that nobody else will care about. An example: I really like W8.1 but never rolled it out (except to the tablet users) because the training requirements would cripple my department. However, I have no such issues with rolling out W10 and will be happy to lead the way.
