  1. Sorry for the problem you had right away. Build 211 has been posted to the softulz.net web site. This build fixes the problem you were seeing.
  2. Yes, thats a bug, there is a problem when adding large set of computers the server will not properly add them. A fix is in the works but for the mean time you can just add them one at a time or smaller set, 5 computers or less at a time.
  3. Purgos 3.0 (Open Source Windows Computer Management) was released this week. Some administrators on this site use this software so I thought I would let everyone know. More info is avaliable at Softulz.Net - Purgos 3.0 Release
  4. Purgos will do some windows device driver updates. If you hit up [email protected] they can tell you specifically if it will work. Softulz.Net - Purgos WMI based network and system administration software Also the beta is going to be released and has better support for windows driver updates.
  5. Purgos version 3.0 is about to be released as beta. For more information see Softulz.Net - Purgos WMI based network and system administration software

  6. The agent uses 2 forms of communication. 1) DCOM for Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) 2) RPC for agent server communication The first is configurable by the user but default requires that the connect be made using Administrator credentials. The second is specific to purgos and uses NTLM authentication and requires the that server connecting to the agent be an local administrator on the computer that is running the agent software. So in short only adminisrators may connect to the purgos agent. Ryan Ackerman [email protected] http://www.softulz.net
  7. Sorry for the delayed response, I didn't see the email notification for the reply. Manually installing the agent should be as simple as copying the sftzExxCmd.exe file to the agent in the C:\Purgos directory and running sftzExxCmd.exe -install
  8. I stand corrected. Is there a particular operating system that purgos is not able to connect to? What errors show up in the history?
  9. sqdge, Were you able to get purgos installed? As for repackaging, no, but most programs are msi based even if they are compressed in some .exe so you can get them out, and if they are exe based typically they have /q or /s option to install the silently. As for the bulk registry updates not yet, but you could push out a .reg file and run regedit /s RegEntries.reg to acomplish that task. SofTulz.Net
