You need a DEM-311GT for DGS1210 it is 1000Mbps short range multimode fibre. As above 10G is not supported on that switch.

I have it on 360 but will be getting it on PC this time, GTAV is the only game I play on the 360 so can't justify the £££ on an XBOX one. FarCry4 will keep me busy until the PC version. I am using a 770GTX with 16GB DDR3 RAM @ 1866Mhz Quad i5 @ 3.6 Ghz, I may need to go SLI on 2x 770GTX for FC4 but will see today.

3COM and older HP switches that are re-branded 3COM ones use 'JD' part number transceivers but later HP Procurve switches use 'J' part numbers. HP Procurve will not accept the 'JD' one or 3COM part numbered ones unless it is a 1910 they accept either. You can use a lower cost compatible ones instead like I have from here, I needed 20 so it saved me a lot on my budget. They have a compatibility list so you can see which one you need.

Patch panel would be fine, you can hire a splicer but that takes some skill and knowledge. I think it's around £250-300 a day for a fibre engineer to do it.

Have you tried a a third party maintenance company? I know Adept supply support but I think it is mainly PC/ server side. and there is also Netwerks who may be able to help.

Koffi2k is right, the big brands do code them to work with the switches. Dlink, Netgear etc. will take most types. Just to add there is a good article here on compatible SFP versions. At least if you go for an SFP coded to the device it is more likely to work than if you just start swapping them around.

Most of the customers I am working with are choosing a 10G link from core to edge, for throughput and future scalability I would look towards that option.
