  1. Never thought about this before but is there a variable I can use in a short cut that would insert the (x86) if it’s needed? Seems as I have a mix of clients or should I manually add the (x86) to the short cut?
  2. SimsLoad.exe works but I have a question is it possible to have it so the sims.net short cut will launch simsload.exe first then launch the program?
  3. Ha the reason it feels like a life time is having staff go... is it fixed yet? is it fixed yet, is it fixed yet... then an hour later the same staff member (after you have told them it is being looked into earlier) goes is it fixed yet is it fixed yet... Having this said to you multiple times over a day soon starts to make the response time of the LA feel like a lifetime lol.
  4. I dont think the LA have released SOLUS3 here yet. Any way I have tried all of the above recomendations and still nothing I have checked the SIMS.ini file to see if that is correct. I have even run the DPUpdate.exe on the clients to see if that sorts things out. Last attempt now is to contact the LA and wait a life time for a response
  5. Thanks I am off site now but I have added those changes to the GPO will see if it worked tomorrow when Im back on site fingers crossed
  6. Hi, Any chance you could share with me what you have done in GPO. I have a mix of 32 and 64 clients :/
  7. What is SIMSPERM.bat and how should it be run on the computer... at start up or as a logonscript?
  8. I've done both of these and they dont seem to be working. Ive added power users to the computers that runs sims and ive now given full access to the SIMS.net folder for my SIMS user group.
  9. Hi all, I we have just rolled out SIMs into our class rooms so teachers can take the register in class. All was working fine up to the point of the latest update. Now none of the class room clients are able to upgrade I get the incompatible database message which is probable due to the upgrade not being carried out on the clients. To come around this in the office the admin team have local admin rights to the system. I don’t want to give the teachers local admin rights as they already break things. I created a SIMS group in AD and gave that group Full control of the SIMS folder thinking that would enable them to update the software. It failed. Have I mist something or if someone is able to tell me any additional security settings I need to set that would be great. Many thanks
