I have just upgraded smart notebook from smart notebook 10 to smart notebook 11.3 so teachers could use smart ink to write on power points presentation while they are on the smart-boards , but since doing that when you go to google in IE 11 it will not allow you to type in the search box. Has anyone else had this trouble and know a solution.

Would you need experience of working inside a school to apply for this role. as my IT experience is all from the private sector.

Is this the same role at Ash Hill Academy that SPTA were advertising for that was supposed to end on the 26th June 2013.

I am wondering if anyone knows of any ICT Technician roles that will be coming up in the Yorkshire area. I have had 5 years experience in IT in the private sector and 3 months voluntary work in a school and I would like to get a role inside within a school as I enjoyed my time at the school and I want to make to move from the private sector to education. I have had interviews recently at a couple of schools but the lack of experience within education is holding me back in getting a role within a school. I know this as one of the schools feedback was that I never got the role due to not having enough experience in the education sector but I have the technical experience though.

I know CRB are not transferable from one job to another but I do hold a current CRB I could always mention that in my letter

I have taken your advice on my letter and have broke it up and it now reads like this To Whom It May Concern: RE: Voluntary Work I was wondering if there is any chance if I could do some voluntary work within your ICT department. My career aim is to work inside a school IT department and the experience would help show future employers that I have had some experience within a school environment. My previous IT experience does not cover school environment and due to me now being unemployed and there being not that many roles for people that do not have previous experience working inside school that is why I’m asking if I could do a few hours a couple of days a week voluntary work just to get a bit of experience within a school environment. Hi Thanks for the letting me know of the role at Cardinal Heenan Catholic High I have seen the role spec and I feel it would suit a more senior technician rather then someone like me i am looking something like a entry level to gain experience of windows server and active directory in the future.
