We are currently using RD Client for iOS, Andriod and Mac. I cannot find a way for Audio to play on the remote device when using Remote Resources. If I connect via a normal remote desktop session I can map the sound but cannot find a setting to do this using Remote Resources. We are running Server 2012 R2. Has anyone else experienced this limitation?

How do you best notify staff about network issue, new features, network downtime etc? We currently send an e-mail to all staff...but these never get read (not that implementing another solution will improve this) but is there a smarter way than I am not seeing?! We included information in the staff news and other pieces of paper that end up on staff desks. Thanks

We are currently running Exchange 2013 with Form based authentication with the domain name pre-set in the OWA configuration in ECP. Is there a way to run both Form based authentication and NTLM (or other). The reason is because I would like OWA to login automatically domain users already logged into the domain but require the domain username and password when not authenticated via a domain machine. I have only been successful in setting this up on Server 2012 R2. It works by deploying a pre-configured .XML file via Group Policy. It is on the same site as you used The Microsoft Platform: Predefining and customizing the Modern UI Start Screen on RDS 2012 R2 I know this may not be much help...as you will need to upgrade your server version (if possible).

I am looking to setup and configure a plex server (initially for testing) so we can stream video to iOS devices via the iOS app. Is anyone else using Plex to stream media around the school?

I am new to KMS Host keys and licensing servers. I have a server 2012 box setup for VAMT and that also holds the Server 2012 KMS Host key. How can I add my Office 2013 host key? Every time I go to add another KMS host key it warns that it will overwrite the current KMS host key - this would be my server 2012 Host Key. Do I need to setup another server to be the host key for Office 2013? I am completely stuck and no matter how many times I read the Microsoft Documentation I am getting no where!

We use to have a staggered approach - Years 7 - 100MB Years 8 - 200MB Years 9 - 300MB etc.. Due to the increased use of courses such as iMedia all users have 500MB with sixth form students having 1GB. We very rarely have any users who wish to exceed this limited, but we are strict and do not increase the space. There are always pictures that can be deleted!! We have 1200 students. Staff have 3.5GB

Is this ran on any client machine? Or would you run the commands on a server? Apologies for my stupidity...I have never setup KMS before so it is all new to me...I'm sure its a lot similar than I am thinking it is! How do the clients point to the KMS?

What setup is needed for KMS? Is there a GUI or do you run the commands to activate the KMS keys?

Can anyone provide me with information on how tou manage licensing and MS software activation. I have just downloaded and installed VAMT. Do people use KMS or MAK? Any advice will be gratefully received.

Any Do's and Don't? Or is it a case of learning the software apposed to do's and don't? Does the software update servers remove the need for a wsus instance running? How do you deploy software? Is it a case of .msi like in GP or is it so much more?! I am looking forward to the installation and configuration of this product. Should I just install the configuration manager or will I need any other parts of the suite?

Hey! We have just purchased EES and I have included System Center 2012. Who is using system Center 2012 and how are you using it? Is configuration Manager the feature piece to install. I do not wish to install every component of system Center 2012...As I am 100% sure I don't need to. We are going to work towards a BYOD future and would like to know how other are using this product. Do most use System Center Configuration Manager? Is this all you really need? Please feel free to flood this post with everything you are doing with this product. Many thanks

I am currently running Windows 7 Pro. The laptop has been added to the domain. I wish to be able to access Domain Services logged in as local administrator on the laptop. When opening AD I am receiving - The Logon Attempt failed - I believe this is because it is using the local administrator credentials. It is possible to set what credentials I wish to open the AD Snap-in with? Many thanks

Is there a way to change the 'older than' to years instead of days? Just to add the Servers are 2008 R2

We are looking for a piece of software that will run on a networked school machine that will allow us to send out a command to automatically log all machines of a certain name or location with a certain account. For example, at times we need to login as administrator on all machines in a ICT room. Is there a way to run an automated process to do this instead of having to go round each individual machine and logging it in. Many thanks

I want to want to disallow local access when connected to the domain, but allow local access when at home. I can do this by deploying a computer security policy via a GPO. I need to change the security policy when the machine shutdowns. So when they are at home they can access their local account and when they are in the school domain the policy will again be applied and restrict access. I will create a security template and then apply this via a script or schedule task on computer shutdown.

I am looking to: 1) Copy a file from server to client (a security template) 2) Create a batch file to deploy the security template on shutdown (every time the machine is shutdown) 1) This will copy the file from the server the client. if exist C:\path\to\file.exe goto end xcopy \\server\share\file.exe C:\path\to\file.exe /relevant /parameters /here end Now I need a batch file to deploy the template via a script to run during shutdown.
