I realize this post may be a bit cold by now, but if anyone is still following I thought it would be worth mentioning that there are some relatively inexpensive hardware options that address this issue that were not available at the time of this posting.

There are some available hardware solutions that may provide a higher level of confidence to the user than the extended desktop, which can be tricky to navigate, and also can give a more polished appearance on the screen than windows being dragged across.
