  1. I use virtualbox for pretty much everything non mac (damn you VMware for not making a mac client for VSphere!) another +1
  2. Ive found this a tricky subject to deal with. I tried this to begin with but it was more trouble than its worth, if you block an app, you need to make sure that nothing depends on it, otherwise that'll break as well. I've found that portions of CS5 - particularly flash and dreamweaver and indesign fail to run properly unless run as local admin or with admin privileges.
  3. Hi David_PCN, Have you got a link for the Mac client for Pcounter? I've had a look on altmans website but with no luck. Cheers G
  4. Hi All, I hope that someone can shed a little light on an annoying issue i've been having. We have a fully integrated mac/windows network - all users can log onto the macs using their windows AD credentials. The issue is that we are trying to use Bryce 7 PLE from Daz3d for 3d modelling, but its constantly prompting each user for a serial key. The key itself is free, but we want to avoid the users needing to put this in each time they start up the software. I've contacted Daz regarding this issue, and they have (sadly) been most unhelpful. I just wondered if anyone had been sucessful in registering a copy to the machine, rather than individual users. thanks very much G
  5. Hi All, Hope you guys can steer me in the right direction! I have a large number of new macs (10.6.4) plugged into a AD domain (2003/2008 mixed) that are exhibiting some very frustrating issues. Not all, but most are intermittently rejecting log on with AD users. They'll work, then the user will log out and the next user wont be able to log in at all, either a full restart is required (75% chance this will work) or an admin will need to log on to the local admin account (works nearly 100% of the time), log out and then the user can log in.. I've got about 6 month exp with macs, but this is the first time we have done a mass deployment on AD. Any help would be greatly received Where do I start? Cheers Gary
