Did you ever get a copy of the database diagram or any help with interfacing with CMIS ? Do we have to use SIF or are we "allowed" direct conenction to the tables ? I am getting mixed messages. No i didnt there is however a "Data Dictionary" that is available through SERCO's new support forum but tbh its a load of poop

Hi Over the past few weeks we have been having reports from teaching staff saying that the results bitlet on ePortal is not showing anything - even though we know for a fact they are there. I asked our network guys to look into this and they have sent me the error log with EventID 131 These errors are appearing at least 2 times a day at various times and are fixed by restarting ePortal Is this a known issue? Is there a fix? Mark

cheers for that i have since found that its data that has been previously entered (3 years ago) that did not have a date attached to it. Always learning

Hi All I am trying to create a CTF file for the NAA on KS3 SATs teacher Assessments - deadline tomorrow!! :oops: Anyway i have entered all the levels myself (dont ask!) and after trying to run the CTF i get the follow queries (see attached). What does this mean? Where can it be altered? can i submit the file with these queries? Mark

Hi Ive been approached by the DH to look into the possibilty of an online homework monitoring system. The teacher would have the ability to assign homework to specific teaching groups during the lesson, and also set a due date. The teacher then gets a live alert when the homework is due. When the students hand the homework in the teacher can mark against the students who have handed it in, and those who havent. A report can the be generated to see those students who are/are not completing homework Is it possible to cobble something together with existing FACILITY & ePortal features? thanks in advance Mark

cheers limbo i have asked our Serco support to provide me with the database diagram that i can import to the SQL Server so i can see what and how tables are linked It boggles my mind that this isnt readily available as surely you would need such a thing to create the bloomin database!

As i am looking to importing a spreadsheet that keeps track of students visiting our referral room (yes i know we can do that in ePortal directly but dont ask!! ) If i am going to import this spreadsheet into the system i need to find what determines the value of the AppEventId :?: Mark

@ Limbo cheers for taking time to look into this for me the attached picture shows the query output that i have created in MS Access. This particular student has 12 events that can be viewd in CMIS but i cannot see a reason as to the jump from 8 to 431?? If you could PM that SQL that would be great 8) Mark

Hi Simon i have found the tables that are used for the "Events" part of CMIS APPAPPFIELDS APPAPPEVENT APPEVENTDEFN I am trying to put together this in MS Access through an ODBC link to the live data. I have stumbled across how some of the tables are linked but to be honest its a real pigs ear!! Anyone know the significance of the "AppEventId"?? Mark

I all Is there a step by step (idiots guide) to rolling the database forward to the 2007-08 dataset so that all the current years 7-10 all roll forward? The 2007-08 dataset is already set up and has the upcoming Year 6 added, i just need to roll the other info forward Mark

Well the first run of reports i do and it goes belly up i set the assessment template up and the exam to allow KS3 NC Levels to be entered via ePortal, all was going well until i ran off some reports and noticed double entries for some students (not always the same subject) i had a word with the particular teacher who entered this and the told me she was entering the results at home and was having trouble saving - she eventually did save them at home but when she got to work she checked and saw that a few was missing so added them again. I run the report today and find this (see attached) I look on ePortal and the teaching group this child is in and see the first one in the report but the other one is not to be found :?: Is there a way of removing one? limiting the report to one?
