Hi, Some of the staff wish to upload Activ Primary flip charts and smart notebook files. These show up as restricted file types. Is there a way to add these extensions to the list? The smart botebook software uses the .notebook extension, I am unsure about Activ Primary/Inspire Thanks Matt

[sims] FMS (Academy) - Email configuration for BACS confirmations
Matt-IT replied to MYK-IT's topic in MIS Systems
I have been asked a similar question by one of my clients. Do any of you know if the email is sent from the FMS servers IP or the clients IP? The site is an LGFL school and has access to mailrelay.lgfl.org but would need the IP and sender address specified. -
HAP+ Vanilla 2008 (R1) x64 IIS7 Install. Please help
Matt-IT replied to Matt-IT's topic in Home Access Plus+
Ok removed the HAP wwwroot folder and started again. Followed the notes as listed (still dont have an option for IIS AppPool\HAP as this in NOT IIS7.5) Redownloaded HAP ZIP and removed readonly perms. Added Network Service and IIS_WPG to read and execute (modify on the App Data folder). Opened IIS Manager, expanded default site, checked certificate. Converted HAP to an Application. Clicked on Authentication and got this error (see screenshot) -

HAP+ Vanilla 2008 (R1) x64 IIS7 Install. Please help
Matt-IT replied to Matt-IT's topic in Home Access Plus+
I have already reinstalled .net 4 once. Which version should I install? I tried "dotNetFx40_Full_x86_x64.exe" but was told that it couldnt install as it was already the same or higher. I can fully uninstall and and reinstall via add remove progs but just want to make sure I am installing the correct .net 4 package. Thanks Matt -
Hi All, I am trying to get my head around installing Home Access Plus and keep running into walls. I have a 2008 (R1) x64 member server - vanilla setup. Installed .Net 4 full and IIS7 from the server manager. No other sites on the IIS. Followed the HAP installation video and created the application pool (unable to set apppool\hap user credentials as IIS7 doenst seem to use them apparently) I get an error when trying to use the default web.config Error on line 248 " 247: 248: 249: " Config Error: The configuration section 'standardEndpoints' cannot be read because it is missing a section declaration I have added a self signed SSL certificate. Created Binding for port 443 Removed binding for port 80 If I remove the < standardEndpoints > section from the web.config the https://localhost/hap/setup.aspx page shows IIS Green Tick Service Activated Red Cross. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance Matt

HAP Installation issues - Application Pool Identity & Authentication
Matt-IT replied to TheFopp's topic in Home Access Plus+
Reinstalled .NEt 4 from the link in the documentation. Had previosuly installed .net full redist. Didnt make any difference. I got past the error by removing the standardEndpoints section from the web.config entirely. Unfortunately I now have a problem. I cant get certificate to install. Wish there was a guide for doing this with version 8 on IIS 7. I was following the video tutorial which doesnt mention SSL certificates any where. I started follwoing the documentation pdf but thats for IIS6. I tired to import a SSL cert I got from startSSL.com but IIS 7 said the certificate cannot be used. This is giving me a headache..... -
HAP Installation issues - Application Pool Identity & Authentication

Hi, I am having the exact same symptoms also with a 2008 (not r2) x64 server. Did you ever get it resolved? I tried deleting from the web.config file but that only made the error report the problem on line 247 instead of 248. Did you ever get the problem resolved? Thanks Matt -
Hi all! New to forum, very impressed with the content so far I have been looking into software deployment options for awhile now and I have come across something that looks promising but cant find what the software was called that was used to make it. Basically while at one of the schools I support I found a folder in NETLOGON called espresso (presumably left ages ago when espresso first setup the schools content delivery system) which contained some automated installers for Java, Flash and Acrobat Reader. The files were .exe's with a green icon featuring a large white capital H. When you run the exe a dialogue box appears called "Espresso Autiomated Installation" with the package name and an option to "cancel script". The original software installer for (java in this example) appears and proceeds to click through automatically without user input required, licenses are excepted and paths specified. This looks like a great tool with huge potential. I don't think that it is proprietary espresso software as I have seen this same green with a white H icon before from other companies. Any pointers would be great, thanks in advance Matt
