I have been asked to cost a small extension to our network which will require a fibre link from our main building to an outbuilding and installation of about 20 data-points. Can anyone recommend a company that they have used recently who are reliable and did quality work at a reasonable price?

Thanks for all the responses. I should point out that I actually think Cunninghas cashless catering solution works quite well and generally don't have problems. However, this time round the issue is hardware related - 2 of our three revals are down - and it's been a nightmare getting through to technical support and trying to get an engineer site visit (still waiting, called logged on 03/09). Head teachers aren't that forgiving and don't understand why everything cant be sorted TODAY!!!! Frankly, since we pay the thick end of 2K in support fees annually she's right to feel aggrieved.

Hi Guys, thanks for the responses. The software is licenced but not activated - don't think that should make a difference. Installation completes successfully and the floating tools (smart ink?) appear but when clicked on are non-functional, for example, when clicking the keyboard icon, nothing happens. It may just be that they are incompatible with Clevertouch hardware?

Has anyone out there successfully managed to use SMART software on non-SMART boards/screens. I'm trying to use SMART floating tools on a Clevertouch interactive screen. SMART Notebook seems to work OK but the tools on the floating dock do not. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi All, can anybody out there help with an issue I'm having with a GCC Puma III vinyl cutter. I have installed the drivers for this device which appeared to go smoothly. However, I am still unable to print to it. The OS is windows 7 and the driver is not digitally signed but install without issue. No errors occur when printing and there is nothing stuck in the queue but the cutter doesn't seem to be receiving data. The program I'm using to output to the cutter is Techsoft 2D Design. Any ideas?

Unfortunately, despite their pretence Capita really don't care about their employees or their customers. The bottom line is ALWAYS about the money. BSF was the worst thing that ever happended to schools in the UK. Capita know that BSF is dead in the water and now they are just trying to screw as much as they can out of what's left in the pot.

Not too sure how or why but the error has miraculously cleared itself and the install has completed as it should.

Hi, no, the user does not already exist. Unfortunately, I can't simply ignore the error as after the installer reports the error it aborts the installation. But, thank you for the feedback.

Just returned to school after break to find that clients on our admin vlan can't log in to our servers and clients on our curriculum vlan can log in but have no internet access! We use 2 subnets - admin 10.232.74.0/24 and curriculum 10.232.76.0/23. On admin PCs I can ping the gateway but not the servers and on curriculum I can ping the servers but not the gateway. Any ideas where I should start troubleshooting?
