Thankfully i've not had any snake losses although it does make your first visit in the morning a bit manic catching all the snakes which have appeared overnight

Morning, I am a data manager, although i got given a much poncier title when we became an academy. We are a 900 pupil 11 - 14 school moving to 11 - 16 next year which is bringing its own headaches, as well as managing our own admissions. We use SIMS as our MIS, Frog as a VLE and some other plugins like Emerge for our iPads. Analysis is done mainly in excel but we are looking to roll discover out to SLT and maybe the HOD's before the end of the year so they can take some snapshot info. Target setting is done mainly based on FFT D, although we also set a secondary higher target which can be adjusted if needs be. We don't have any external access to SIMS directly, we did have SLG but Frog was plumped for instead; although the staff did like being able to access marksheets remotely.

I contacted FFT because our year 7's were not there, we then needed to load our census on to their site so they knew which pupils we had on roll. I think there was an additional cost but can't remember how much. This is something the LA used to do but now we're an academy we don't buy back into their services for this.

You could have a user defined field, which you check when a duplicate is required. Then it's just a case of running a report to get the duplicates - no manual checked needed!

Got ours last week, had to order them though.

You would need to design a report with a student focus, then choose Assessment as a sub report where you can specify aspect name & result set.

7 day shop do some own brand as well, i've got the 200mbs ones and they seem fine. Top out at 60 odd meg but thats in a 60's house so the wirings probably not great!

Id' be interested in this, my current method is to export as a CSV and then change the data, add admission number etc, and import from there

Need a bit of advice, I've got about 100+ Car and Car Conversion magazines which I need to get rid of due to moving house. Short of a bonfire what will be best, they must have a bit of value but I don't know if putting them on Ebay would be the best way or if there are sites more specialised? They are too heavy to post really so would need to be collected. Any (sensible ) suggestions welcomed! Andy
