  1. Thanks for the reply. I tried going to the App Store on the Mac, and browsed to Apple Configurator 2, but when trying to install the app it just states that I have to use VPP and takes me to the VPP store. I also tried creating a new Apple ID on the Mac to access AC2 through the App store, but it fails each time I try to create a new Apple ID. I used an Apple ID created with Apple School Manager when I set up the MacBook....could that be the problem? Do I need to remove the Apple ID associated with VPP and then try and create a new Apple ID that is not associated with VPP? Thanks again and any help is greatly appreciated.
  2. Hi all, Hope someone can shed a bit of light on installing Apple Configurator 2 on a MacBook as I feel really thick at the moment. I've been tasked with setting up 15 iPads and wanted to use AC2 with a MacBook to set these up. We have registered for Apple School Manager, DEP(but don't have MDM), VPP, etc. When I log onto the MacBook and go to the VPP site it allows me to purchase(free) Apple Configurator 2, but I can't see how to get this to install on to the MacBook. It mentions about receiving an email after purchase but I have not had any emails. Am I missing something??? Thanks.
  3. Hi and thanks for the reply-much appreciated. Does signing up for Apple School Manager create an Institutional Apple ID or does this have to be done separately? Thanks again.
  4. Hi all, I'm in need of a bit of advice....We have recently bought about 20 iPads along with a charge/sync cab and a MacBook and I'm trying to get my head around the whole iPad setting up in schools and I find the whole process confusing and not sure where to start..... I seem to see bit's online about Apple School Manager, DEP, VPP, Apple Configurator, Institutional Apple ID, etc. We don't have an Institutional Apple ID, so is that the first place to start and where do I sign up for one? I have an email account set up to use for the iPads Apple ID, but can that account be used for the Apple ID and VPP together? Is there a step by step idiots guide to all this...any help or advice on where to start would be helpful and greatly received.:confused:Thanks
  5. I'm a bit new and confused with the Microsoft OVS-ES agreements.....I understand that it is based on the number of Full time equivalents which we have 60 in our school, but am confused then in regards to how many computers we can install Windows 7/Office 2010 on. On the VLSC it shows 60 licences of each, but we have about 90 computers/laptops that need to install the software on including the ICT suite. The Licencing seller said we could install the Windows 7/Office 2010 on all computers in the school, but if the VLSC shows only 60 licences what happens once you exceed that 60 shown? Our agreement shows: OfficeProPlusEdu ALNG LicSAPk OLV F 1Y Acdmc Ent 36 OfficeProPlusEdu ALNG LicSAPk OLV F 1Y Acdmc UTD 24 WinEntforSA ALNG UpgrdSAPk OLV F 1Y Acdmc Ent 24 WinEntforSA ALNG UpgrdSAPk OLV F 1Y Acdmc UTD 36 I don't quite understand how this works. Any help/information would be appreciated! Thanks
