About EduMan

  1. Thank you all for your advice, ill pass them all on, beating with the shoes sounds perfect! May just try it !
  2. With an RM network you can not use group policy, what patch did you use and do you know where i can get it?
  3. We are trying. Unfortuantly we are stressing to staff to bring their computers up to the office so we can scan them. Becuase members of staff arnt, we are fighting a loosing battle everytime we disconnect servers and scan computers, on the monday the staff who refuse to bring their laptops to us infect everything again.. Dont you just hate schools!?
  4. I personally wouldn't, we upgraded from CC3 to CC4 last year and I REALLY wish we hadn't!! its awful!
  5. Hi all, When we moved from CC3 to CC4 we went from being able to rebuild three computer rooms at a time to only building four computers! Now, we are unable to build anything. Our infrastructure is gigabit throughout the whole school... When we build computers over the network.. The computer builds fine until it gets to the "Adding Computers to the Network" at this stage the computer freezes and goes no further. We do have a virus on both of our networks.. one is RM one is just a windows based network, which we call the "Admin System". On the Admin System we can build computers absolutely fine. Anyone had any situations like this? I don't personally think its the virus, I think RM are trying to pass the blame on. Thanks, Tom
  6. Whats the sharepoint site called, Escimo by any chance?
  7. Others couldnt see it so i flushed my DNS and now it dont work
  8. Others couldnt see it so i flushed my DNS and now it dont work
  9. Works on 10.34.71.10... odd?
  10. Ive changed my IP on my office computer to 10.34.70.15 and i can ping server (10.34.68.11) I still can not ping CCTVSERVER though (10.34.70.5) Pinging 10.34.70.5 with 32 bytes of data: Reply from 10.34.70.15: Destination host unreachable. Request timed out.
  11. Somthing must be interfering with the whole range of 10.34.70.x then. Let me change the ip of my office computer to that range and see what happens?
  12. Ive changed the IP so it is out of the 10.34.70.x range and into the 10.34.68.x range (same as my office computer) and it works fine. Maybe it is an issue with the Subnet Mask?
  13. Still didnt work..Tried a new Network Lead also. I also tried changing the IP to 10.34.70.5, still nothing. The main switch(s) have all the servers on them which is down the corridor, my switch in the ICT Office is cabled to the same switch as the CCTVSERVER and SERVER.
