Quick everyone look at BBC 2 on the normal television!
Newsnight are using Harris Academy Merton as a way to discuss how the "quest for the 5 A-Cs at GCSE" is tempting academies to take pupils off the roll without having to exclude them - hence, the GCSE figures still look good, (since average goes up if you don't count those pupils who take zero GCSEs) but the exclusion rate doesn't go up.
It's not having a go at Harris specifically, but it's interesting how fudging your figures now has a massive financial incentive attached - MIS expert's salaries to increase this year hmmmm.....
