  1. by the way did either of you see Newsnight just now? - was about taking pupils off the roll but not excluding them to massage stats maybe its on iplayer
  2. haha yes too true, both replies! Will Capita swallow RM next? Gawd help us all if they do...
  3. Is there now full employment amongst Edugeek members? £120 per day is getting on for £32,000 if you go through your own company or umbrella co. Why aren't people biting his arm off?
  4. Quick everyone look at BBC 2 on the normal television! Newsnight are using Harris Academy Merton as a way to discuss how the "quest for the 5 A-Cs at GCSE" is tempting academies to take pupils off the roll without having to exclude them - hence, the GCSE figures still look good, (since average goes up if you don't count those pupils who take zero GCSEs) but the exclusion rate doesn't go up. It's not having a go at Harris specifically, but it's interesting how fudging your figures now has a massive financial incentive attached - MIS expert's salaries to increase this year hmmmm.....
  5. heh sorry I am just being harsh because of (a) long-term unemployment caused by (b) politicians privatising everything. I'd love to help, that's why I clicked on it. Unfortunately I'm poor, and the benefits people would probably construe helping out like this a capital offence, punishable by massive quantities of form-filling to return to the breadline in about 6 weeks.
  6. Come on guys, get with the Nu Conservative programme - it's the Big Society don't you know? We all volunteer and work for free now, remember? Basically it's the only thing left now that RM and Capita have stitched up the wonderful free-market experiment called BSF / PFI and turned it into a nice little duopoly of the exact sort that isn't supposed to occur in the weird and wonderful world of free-market economics that anyone could see was inevitably going to happen.
  7. I have to make a post before I can send a PM to someone, so this is it
