As far as I know Mac Mini's are wireless as standard. In fact they are bluetooth as standard. I will admit to having a Mac Mini instead of a telly. I watch lots of DVD's instead. All in all I would go with a Mac Mini wireless but with a hard wired connection to where ever you are storing the media (pretty much what I have now) The only thing I would change is the wireless keyboard as it eats batteries. If I bought it all again I would go for wired keyboard and mouse. It is pretty easy to get VNC working so why would you need a keyboard? But then what do I know )

Anyone any ideas. Have some RM laptops and one of the children has managed to change the screen orientation. She can't remember what she has pressed. I don't know what she pressed and I can't find a way of changing it back. A restart has not worked. Anyone any ideas? Sorry if this is in the wrong place, nothing really seemed to fit ) Should be a things children do section for all the crazy stuff. Thanks all.

Evening all, just a quick greeting and introduction. Primary Teacher, ICT subject leader, former Linux user, now Mac users. 44 x CC3 RM machines, 3x CC3 RM Admin machines, one of which is running a virtual Win98 for some financial package (Don't ask!), 18 x CC3 RM Laptops, 16x vanilla windows machines, similar amount of teachers laptops, SMART boards, 2003 server, RM Cache Server (Would love to know how to get into if anyone is reading this) and an old server which has run a variety of OS in the last few years but I'm once again thinking about turning it into a Linux box for moodle (unless anyone has any other good suggestions?) oh and 420 children, 35 members of staff. All is well as I have found a good technician, and no longer have to rely on my own skills or the secondary school tech, so just at the minute the disillusionment with ICT is fading and the enjoyable prospect of playing and developing stuff once again looms large.
