  1. Thanks for those gents. Two more I've found lately are http://www.youtube-proxy.org http://www.lime-designs.net/pproxy Two from the original list to get through were http://www.proxywizard.com http://www.theinvisible.com now blocked.
  2. Like Grommit, I inherited our range, 192.168.0.x with a mask of 255.255.255.0. This was already set up and has a couple of addresses NAT'd through our firewall to the Segfl router, thence to Easynet's network. When we ran out of IPs, I changed this to 255.255.248.0 to give us more space. It works fine, the only problem I had was with two 3com WAPs which refused to accept the new mask, but a firmware upgrade to the latest 3com release solved it. It sounds like you have a similar setup, Grommit, so this may be a solution you can use.
  3. Is there any way of restricting users in a 2k3 domain to a single login ? I'm sure we used to have a concurrent login policy in 2k.
  4. Like WEZ, another ex-crab to quote Grumbledook - not an ex-fish'ed are you Tony ? A long 17 yrs taking the Queen's shilling, mainly in the concrete chicken pens near St. Andrews :drinkers: , then a spell in Saudi :glasses1: trying to train RSAF technicians how to maintain laser targeting kit on their Tornadoes........ :banghead: Came back and went into network management with C & W for a few years, and now here in Shepperton as Network Manager at Thamesmead. 1k students, 2k3 & XP Pro, plus wireless, vpn etc.etc.
  5. It would be nice to buy lovely coloured cables, but our greatly diminishing budget is spent on stuff we can't make ourselves. It takes five minutes to do, including labelling and testing, and can be done as and when required, you don't have to ring up a supplier then wait for delivery.
  6. We've had Sysaid here for over a year and agree completely with ChrisO. It's free, easy to use and it works, but we have the same problem with the staff not using it. They say 'I don't know my password/how to use it', but if they would only click the 'How to report an IT fault' icon on the staff desktop it might help.
