Well i managed to sort it out. Just needed to run some of the updates, do a restart, and then bam, it went through no problems

Hi Guys I have been tasked with looking into FOG for our schools. I am installing onto Fedora 13 and all was going well until i hit a snag with the installation. I have disabled iptables and selinux, however the install fails when it gets to the part. setting up and starting NFS server. I am a novice at linux and really dont know where to start looking. Any help is appreiciated. Mark

As i remember they were usually in the morning, is that still the case? if it is then i will rearrange my school visit for that time and come along would be nice to see some of the old lags, if they are still there.

go level up again, if you got to level 49 with that kill to death ratio, then it shouldn't take that much time to make it back up again! and think of all those high levels getting killed by the awesome low level player i got accused of cheating on the xbox version because i had played to quite a high level on modern warfare, went onto black ops and was a low level killing level 50's

Hi Guys. I am having a problem with winsuite at one of my schools. Randomly is seems, when the computer starts up it doesnt pick up the winsuite config. When you press ctrl-alt-del it brings up the login box, as if you have pressed alt-w (still with the school logo, so not just a windows login box.) Normally the staff and pupils select their name from a drop down box. I have tried checking the server for errors and there are none. :/ I'm guessing that this is a client issue, as their are no server side issues and if you do a system restore, then winsuite works correctly and you can select the names from the drop down box. Sometimes the client will respond to an admin logging in, but not always, sometimes it will respond to a reboot, but not always. And it is different desktops and laptops each time, seemingly random. awesome, i'll keep an eye out, and get myself and my manager signed up for the next one. We did sign up for one a couple of months ago, but it was apparently cancelled due to lack of interest. Do you know when the next one is happening?

Hi Guys Its been a while since i was at one of the Network Managers Forums that ESCC used to host. Are they still happening?? If so have they been useful. We used to go as it was free bacon butties (Thanks to Viv Reed) but then i joined the ESCC tech team and wasnt allowed to go to the forum! well i've moved on now and looking to remake some of the contacts i used to have at the forum. so let me know. Hi Guys I have a school that is moving away from winsuite! They are currently using the winsuite desktop and want to keep using the shortcuts. Does anyone know of a way to export the shortcuts from the winsuite desktop to enable me to build a windows desktop with the relevant shortcuts on it? Or is it going to be the slow laborious task as copying and pasting each shortcut from the screen manager and creating each shortcut individually? He's hoping Mark

ahhh, found the problem. The techie that did the original windows install, didnt take out the hp recovery partition, or the hp tools partition! which means it is a multi partition image and so fog takes the whole disc! i will make sure before i try and capture the next image that it is only a single partition.

Hi Guys i'm just testing fog for my school and i am having a few issues. Fog is set up on Fedora 13 and is running fine. I have created my first host and i am just trying to upload my first image. We have a HP 625 laptop with windows 7 installed. All seems to be fine apart from the image size. It has a 250 GB HDD in the laptop and fog is trying to copy it all!! resulting in a 250GB image. Obviously i have missed a setting somewhere in my image set up, but i'm not sure what. Can anyone possibly shed some light on where i need to look so that my image is only the size of the used data.
