Hi Phillyrovers. We have changed the pen width and amazingly it has solved the problem. Thank you so much for your wisdom.

Series 2 Promethean Whiteboard. Firmware 3.75. Active driver v5.8.46 Windows 7 64bit PC. Resolution now set at 1024 x 768 but has been higher. Square monitor Maths teachers uses flipcharts. Writes text of minus signs, dots, division signs in calculations and then scrolls to next frame. When he scrolls back up the signs has disappeared but the numbers remain. Swapped out whiteboard, changed cables, swapped out PC. No nearby electrical charge. Help

Are there Active Inspire Windows 7 64bit drivers and firmware updates available for the older whiteboards PRM-AB1 & AB2.

I have changed the batteries (checked with 2 differnent lots) and there is no power / image on screen. Is there a reset button or a brightness adjuster?

We have recently replaced classroom computers with Windows 7 64 bit machines. Some of our whiteboards, different ages and models are experiencing jagged writing. The one I am trying to work on now is an Activeboard V3.75 build 1. Serial connection. Software Version 1.6.50464. Have uninstalled and reinstalled drivers and recallibrated. Have unplugged the board and left for a while just incase of static. Is there a firmware or software update needed ? Carol

Im looking to get some money for the old projectors we have had replaced in school. Some do still work but would need a clean and possibly a new lamp. South Lancashire area !! Does anyone know of anyone who buys ?

Hi Ben. Thank you for your response. The driver for the serial board is listed in the device manager / Human Interface Devices and I have updated the driver from there but it makes no differnce. Its XP professional and I have installed Acrive studio 3.2.5. When you say to force the drive what do you mean ? My next move if I cannot force the drive I am go ing to try using a USB cable and try to change the driver. The power will still have to go through the serial port. Carol

Hi. Went back to basics and installed Activestudio only and it still does not recognise the board.

I have replace computers in a couple of classrooms and the have installed Activeinspire to replace Active Studio 3.2.5. The whiteboards have now lost their firmware and will not go interactive even though they have power. I have uninstalled Activeinspire and reinstalled Activestudio but that has made no difference. Is there a disc I can use to reinstall or upgrade the firmware ?
