Thank you so much for all of the replies. We're a secondary school with fairly IT literate staff. I can see lots of people use Moodle, we were put off a bit as a local school had problems with it. We're thinking of possibly hosting our feeder schools. Core is the most favored at the moment because you can integreate email, shared areas, reporting to parents and writing back to SIMS. However judging by some of the responses the primaries won't like it. I wonder how well Moodle works for primaries tho? Frog seems very popular but it's very expensive.

We are considering purchasing a new learning platform. We are currently using Uniservity which is completely not meeting our needs. Were looking at Core at the moment, is anyone using it? Any feedback would be great. We like the look of the 'one stop shop' for email, AD logon, reporting to parents, and write access to SIMS. One important feature to us is having access to our shared drives, so we're mainly thinking of locally hosted vle's. Any feedback from any platform you use would really help us in our decision. We've got an active SMT leading the vle, but with Uniservity being so unreliable it hasn't really moved forward in the way we'd hoped. Thanks
