  1. I have a dead macbook which cannot turn on which was used for supervising iPads on Configurator 2. Does anyone have any experience in moving the data from the hard drive to a new macbook so that I can regain full control of the iPads that were supervised with the dead macbook?
  2. In Configurator 2, you need to sign in with your VPP account. The one that you use on the VPP web site. Perhaps you used the iTunes account?
  3. I can see that the profile folder is inheritin the SYSTEM permissions from its parent folder succesfully. Maybe you should add administrators or domain admins to the parent folder also with full permission.
  4. If you are going to completely replace the current server then I would not bother with changing the DNS settings on the clients. As long as you can do the migration out of hours then you will be able to promote the new server, transfer all data, transfer FSMO roles, set up DHCP on the the new server and then demote the old server. You can then change the IP address of the old server to something else and then give the new server the IP address of the old server. This way DNS can stay the same on the static clients. Of course, if you are keeping the existing server then you could leave it running alongside the 2008 DC until all static clients DNS settings have been pointed to the new server.
