  1. The other important thing. If you are using "n" Wifi access points do they work in the 2.4ghz or in the 5ghz signal range? The same for the laptops wifi cards.... Cheers.
  2. Hello. We bought this ones about a year ago and we are delighted... Laptop Cart | Uno Cart | Laptop Trolley | LapSafe You put the laptop own charger, so they were cheaper since no extra fancy chargers were needed. The doors alre also fully open, at least in the model we bought (16) I have seen sometrolleys where the doors are partially open and that is a pain when students are getting the laptops in and out. The laptops are also stored flat which I in my opinion keeping them in their natural position helped to avid userr banging them against the trolley. In my oppinion they are also easy to manouvre. I hope it helps...
  3. Hello James. Things I can think of... Windows firewall. Turn it off and see if it does work with the firewall off. If it does is one of the services. Perhaps you wifi card is not picking the domain network settings. I also remember there is a service in the firewall called "Network Discovery" Shares and network resources should be seen ok. The other programs might need to be allowed in the laptop firewall or yo might need to open the ports for that software. In XP I remember you could also pick the preferred network (I used to put the wireless first, so when they go home it does pick up their settings first) but I don't think it does apply to W7.
  4. Hello all. Renewing one of our anual maintenance contracts, I realized the provider has changed the details and is not a UK based company anymore (it is USA base if that helps). I guess my questions are more lawsuit kind, but... Will that have an implication on us as school? I guess Distant selling regulations won't be applied since it is not UK/EU based company. I am also concern about privacy options, will they be allowed to pass our details to others? Last think I want is to have more emails from providers trying to sell me stuff. Kind regards.
  5. Hello and happy new year 2012 to everyone. We are using print mamager plus V8 (or I think it's also called 2010) At the moment I have no restrictions and/or quotas applied to users and the user enquire tool shows the number of pages printed for each user correctly. The problem arises on any of the printers (different models and manufacturers and drivers) when I "enable verification" in the printer properties of that printer (all of this within print manager plus, not in the windows print management). Then the user gets the 5 min warning to delete or print the job. So if you press ok to print it the job does go to the the printer qeue but it is paused. I have to manually release the job to be printed. If I roll back to "no print verification" users print as normal and jobs aren't paused in the print qeue. As far as I know we dont have or set up the "release station" feaure of the program. Kind regards.
  6. Hello everyone. My first post so I hope I am following protocol. We are running Exchange 2010 (not Sharepoint) and I have no problems with the Outlook 2007/2010 client when I want to overlay calendars. The calendar has been shared and has been accepted by the users, but since some of my users use OWA only, I would like to do the same and overlay the calendar in one view only. I haven't found the way to do it with OWA. Any suggestions? Many thanks.
