Hi, I need to set our out of hours greeting back to system default (on a hunt group) as it has been set incorrectly. I don't want to rerecord over it (which I can) I just want to set it back to system default. I have checked documentation but all it says is "If you change from the system greeting to a personalized one, you cannot return to the system greeting without the aid of your system administrator." I have full access to the IP Office (V11) and VoiceMail Pro but cannot establish how to achieve this. I have tried right click -> Clear Mailbox in Voicemail Pro and this did indeed reset everything including the standard greeting but the out of hours remains the same. Anyone with any information on this would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks,

The above also failed. Disabling the 'Smart Helper' service resolves the issue. Who'd have thought Smartboard would have been causing an issue!

Funny really as the copyright protection was put there to stop people ripping it but it has stopped us being able to use it unless you rip it. So it has had the reverse effect.

bcdedit /set {bootmgr} displaybootmenu no Switches off the boot menu completely so can't access safe mode. We run this as a startup script on all computers via GPO. It can easily be reversed.

It should play but it doesn't on many DVD players including those on PC/Laptop it would appear.

Been messing with this for a couple of days now. Tried various DVD players and it just wont work on Windows 10. Works on Windows 7 Media Player but of course that is not available in Windows 10. Works in PotPlayer on Windows 7 but not in Windows 10. Wont work on VLC on Windows 7 or 10.

Is your hanging login linked to switch user or does it happen on any first login? I ask because we have been experiencing freezing login on switch user where it freezes login at the printer install process. I am working to resolve this but it seems to be linked to Smartboard / SIMS and switch user.

That would definitely, but the staff wouldn't accept that as a solution as they 'need' to leave all their documents open.... Smartboard 12.10.* all fail Smartboard 12.11.382 fails Smartboard 12.5.* all fail - additionally one version of the 12.5 stops touch working in Windows 10 Smartboard 12.3.726 works fine so rolling back to this version is our solution. It might be the smartboard drivers or the version of smartink bundled with it but looks like I have a solution.

Seems to be something to do with having SIMS open and Smartboard plugged in whist switching user. Removing the smartboard drivers resolves the issue or not having SIMS open. Some interference between SIMS, Smarboard and Printers is causing the logon stalling on switch user. Just trying to find the correct smartboard drivers without this issue!

We went Windows 10 64 Bit this summer and since then we have been experiencing freezing during the login process. I have finally narrowed this down to it stalling on printer installation. I have tried installing printers via login script and GPP and the computer still freezes at the point of installing the printers. I've updated printer drivers, double check my point and print settings and they are all fine. This only happens when switching user. Printers always install fine any other time. I have also now narrowed this down to the fact if SIMS is open on the first user when the second user switches user the freeze will occur. If we close SIMS before the switch user there is never any issue and all works fine. Just wondering if anyone is experiencing this issue and/or has a fix other that asking staff to close SIMS before locking their workstation or switching user because they will forget or not listen. I've been tinkering with closing SIMS on lock workstation (Scheduled Task) which works but if the user does Switch User it doesn't and I cant find a task to perform on this trigger. Thanks,

We use Paxton and their Net2 access control system. They register their cards on photocopier (Papercut). I have a powershell script to take card numbers from papercut and write to AD. Third party application Net2ADSync takes number from AD and writes it to Net2. Therefore if you disable user account in AD their door access is removed in Net2 by the Net2ADSync application.

I did read about your powershell script solution but wanted to come away from scripts since we are having issues with switch user and scripts freezing at the printer install line. Our script installs the printer fine and logs in great as we ask it to install the printers twice but seems to lock up on switch user randomly for some reason when it goes to install the printer for the first time.

Currently testing GPP and just using Replace has intermittent results where as having printer install twice with create and then again with an update seems to work all the time. We have mandatory profiles so need to set the printers each login. Hopefully this will fix our login script issue by moving the printer installation to GPP.

Interestingly enough we do something similar. We have a script that installs the printers at login based on machine name so they get the correct printer for that location. Since moving to Windows 10 - we got the intermittent printer issue so I now install the printer twice in the script and it works 100% of the time. I still haven't worked out what the cause is but installing the printers twice is a work round for now. Unfortunately we are now seeing an issue where the login script is freezing at the point it installs the printer and this is the first time it installs not the second. This only happens when switching user and only in the classrooms. I cannot replicate the error when testing so it must be some application one user has open that is stopping the second user logging in. Driving me mad!

Funny - I got this issue testing Win 10 (1607) and printers only install after logoff and on again. Updated drivers and tweaked registry key to stop searching internet for Icons and still very intermittent. Our printers are deployed via login script and works fine with Win 7 but Win 10 is problem. After adding the printer to install twice in the script it works flawlessly every time so seems the solution is to install printers more than once. It works but would love to fix this without installing twice. Many thanks for your idea.

We use Zioxi too, they are small and compact. Standing up well in comparison to some Monarch Lapcabby stuff we got which are really big and heavy plus doors are bend and locks get jammed.

Brilliant - might stop them changing the keys around on the keyboard also! how they actually get time to do that without anyone noticing is beyond me

Looks like solution is to leave Dell on the shelf. We have a lot of HPs that don't have the same issue when ramming pieces of metal in them so not sure what gives on the Dell.

Yes, but when students require USB they start farting around the back of the PC since front would have been disabled which is bad! Front ports causing issue at the moment and the phono/mic socket on the same ribbon plus unplugging/disabling them causes issue as above.
