We brought 9 Lenovo laptops 2 years ago and now only have 2-3 left! All have failed due too a cold boot problem, this is now known as the "Lenovo Problem" in our office. The customer service is useless. Never buying anything from then again.

Where thinking of doing this for our school, do you know if it has to be a business account etc or can you set up a basic free account?

We use DiskDigger works everytime and is free . When you launch the program choose Dig Deeper for more options

We use LanSchool and its fantastic. It does everything you mentioned plus more e.g. turn off Internet and printing. You can try the trial version and their customer service is good. You can also role it out as a msi.

I work along side Mr Jones and classroom management is an uphill struggle here . We've found some software but nothing promising. We've had a longer thought about this, and what we think we ideally need is a way of stopping the kids unplugging the network cables. I've had a look to see if there's a protective cage for the wall plate (if it exists?) to stop them unplugging the network cables. Does anyone know if this is possible.

I've just recently brought a Mac and I love it. Mac stores are fantastic you can get all the help you need in their and they let you play around with them to get a fill for things. They are very easy to use and couldn't recommend one more. Yes I agree with others who replied where you can do just as much with a mac compared to a Windows machine but is a pleasure to use and its nice to use one after fixing Windows all day

From what I've read about iTalc the guy who did it lost interested and there hasn't been any updates for nearly 2 years! We found it good to use to a certain point but its very buggy. We've gone ahead and ordered LanSchool and really looking forward to getting it and running!

Hey Guys We currently use italc and are thinking of changing too LanSchool we so far a very impressed by the demo version compared to others which we have tried. Does anyone here use LanSchool? Have you had good experiences with it or is it a bit of a nightmare. Thanks
