Hi,
I was wondering if anybody could shed light on a problem that I have?
Today I bought a Dell Dimension 5000 desktop PC from someone at work. It was running XP but has been upgraded to Vista.
I got it home this evening and set it up, turned it on and tried to set it up to my liking, the only problem was that is seems to take forever to do the most basic tasks, I did a performance check and it gave a score of 1.0!! I'm not actually sure what this means but 1 seems quite a low score to me! Something can't be right here, it's a 2.8 Ghz Pentium 4 and from what I've heard it's a reasonably quick system but this is just so sluggish!
What I would like to know is...
1) Can I roll it back to XP?
2) Do I have a major problem?
3) Am I missing some vital driver/software?
and 4) where can I get what I need to sort this out (if applicable!)?
And advice would be gratefully received but please keep it reasonably simple as I'm not particularly brilliant with computers!
Many thanks in advance.
Dan.
