  1. We did test with free solutions (scripts) and it was chaos. This solutions is cheaper then a month salary of one sysadmin
  2. We use IAM Cloud Drive Mapper (forum sponsor) for user folderredirection and the latest version can also map Teams to a driveletter.
  3. We use the following installer settings: wlsetup-all.exe /AppSelect:MovieMaker /noceip /nohomepage /nolaunch /nomu /nosearch /notoolbarceip /q And import these registry settings: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 ; Suppress the EULA [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Live\Common] "TOUVersion"="16.0.0.0" [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Live\Movie Maker] "AllowNetworkFiles"==dword:00000001 ; Do not prompt the user to sign into their Live account in Photo Gallery [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Live\Photo Gallery] "SignInRemindersLeft"=dword:00000000 ; Don’t ask the user to change file associations for picture and photo file types [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Live\Photo Gallery\Library] "DontShowAssociationsDialogExtensions"=hex(7):2e,00,57,00,44,00,50,00,00,00,2e,\ 00,42,00,4d,00,50,00,00,00,2e,00,4a,00,46,00,49,00,46,00,00,00,2e,00,4a,00,\ 50,00,45,00,47,00,00,00,2e,00,4a,00,50,00,45,00,00,00,2e,00,4a,00,50,00,47,\ 00,00,00,2e,00,50,00,4e,00,47,00,00,00,2e,00,54,00,49,00,46,00,00,00,2e,00,\ 4a,00,58,00,52,00,00,00,2e,00,44,00,49,00,42,00,00,00,2e,00,54,00,49,00,46,\ 00,46,00,00,00,2e,00,49,00,43,00,4f,00,00,00,00,00
  4. No UE-V and no AppData redirecting, just the 'standard' folder redirections. We do not want any user data on our machines if possible, certainly no documents.
  5. Last month we started the deployment of IAM CloudDriveMapper with folderredirection to OneDrive and this works very well for us. maybe something to look into.
  6. You can use this website to convert a reg file to an xml file which can be imported within GPME: https://www.runecasters.com.au/reg2gpp
  7. Logged in as local Administrator in Windows 10 64bit version 1803. UAC disabled, running calculator and photo`s.
  8. Are you 110% sure about this statement? Because we have UAC disabled completely by GPO on all our devices and our students can use all those apps.
  9. Just get it from a torrent site, that`s how I do it.
  10. The Netherlands
  11. Maybe you could try cfadisk driver: http://www.etcwiki.org/dl/USB_LocalDisk.zip
  12. As far as I know most camera`s have this 'problem', you can only read from internal or external memory, not write to it. Why should you have write access anyway, its not an usb-stick or external hdd.
  13. I have made a comment in the old threat about how I have done this.
  14. This is how I have done this, a student has to create a directory with his own name and/or student number and in this directory he/she can put stuff. Other students can not access a directory created by another student.

    Summer Project

Taking a long vacation, this should be on everyone list as number 1.
  16. How about this font: Tesla, Regular by Olivera Stojadinovic - Abstract Fonts Or if you want to pick another one yourself, check here: http://www.dafont.com/theme.php?cat=603
  17. We use QuickMix to restore settings, it uses a config file which is a 'snapshot' of your mixer settings. So you set all the sliders to the values you want and save it, afterwards you can start with quickmix.exe mysettings.qmx (or whatever you name your config), put it somewhere in your startup script or whatever you wanna use to launch it at startup/login. http://www.ptpart.co.uk/assets/unsupported/quickmixin.zip
  18. Atm we use a combination of Windows 2008 servers and Novell 6.5 middle tier server. The Windows environment is used as login, file, policy etc. server and the Novell server is used to deploy application.
  19. Depending on the devices you need to connect to the POE-switch, look at the max power it can output over all ports. We use POE access points and they use (if I remember correctly) 14 watt and our 48port Cisco switch can not handle more then 15-20 POE AP`s, because it lacks the power. The same switch but with 24 ports outputs the same amount of watts, so we where better of buying 2 x 24 ports instead of 1 x 48 ports switch. If you will only use it for voip phones, you`re fine with a 48 ports. (phone uses 7-8watt)
  20. You can use Adobe Customization Wizard X
  21. You could also try using Display Changer its free for non-commercial use.
  22. Like most people already said, AP`s in the 2.4Ghz range should be configured with channels 1,6 & 11. You should also consider lowering the Transmitter Power (if this can be configured with these AP`s), if the power is set to high you can get overlapping channels again. A nice freeware tool to do a site survey is Ekahau HeatMapper, it can measure your coverage, channels, ssid`s etc. So if you have map of your building you can measure exactly the coverage of your individual access points and overall coverage. Also lot of people over here use managed systems, we also have one location with a managed system, but my location has unmanaged Cisco AP`s (40) and we prefer it above our managed system.
  23. Here you are: http://kb2.adobe.com/se/cps/494/cpsid_49419/attachments/reset_fp10.zip
  24. We use 22" 1920x1080 screens on all our standard student desktops, but all our active board desktops are equipped with 17" 1024x768 monitors and so are the projectors. Higher resolutions on active boards are not needed anyway, so why spend a lot more money on monitors and proctors?
  25. All students have complete access to youtube or any other streaming website, we only filter on pornography, hacking/cracking, games, social media.
