About Wolfman

  1. + for PRM Greentech, very professional compared to some of the other companies, everything gets a tag then gets loaded on the VAN, collection note gets emailed same day
  2. Look forward to it! I'm having the same experiance with FileBrowser..
  3. How do pupils/staff access thier work or shared resources (ie. a word doc on a server share) and then save back to the share?
  4. one of my Primary schools are looking into this, Including changing 3 new servers (various but typical roles) and moving fully into a Citrix thin client/VDE system with and 25x new terminals and conversion of old laptops x30 is approx £50,000... I'd of rather seen a VPN connection to enable remote access, which is really what they want BUT that's what happens when a Governor works for IBM
  5. ahh..Thanks guys I like the idea of using WebDAV, don't suppose anyone has any tutorials for the iPad setup of webdav? from a security perspective I very much like the idea of A terminal server or VNC app BUT we're only a small Primary and don't have the setup for this.....yet
  6. Hi Guys, My head has recently purchased and iPad and now wants to access shares (and save ) and print if possible? I've tested FileBrowser - as per some other threads on this forum but there is a complicated way of opening .docs and then having to email them back to yourself to save back on the network?? I was wondering what everyone else is doing? Thanks!
  7. thanks, where can I obtain a copy?
  8. Hi Guys is there anywhere is can get simple how to guides for RM CC3? such as.. 9. Hi Guys at my school we have an admin server and a separate curriculum server, I would like to know how I can access folders on the curriculum domain from the admin domain. I have configured a second NIC on the curriculum DC for the admin range - this did seem to work but none of my clients could get an IP address, Is there a better way for this (trust) or to solve the issue with DHCP clients (worried this may lead to further issues later on) Thanks
  10. does it do the same with another eraser? also try putting the eraser down on its side so that the felt area faces you and the top of the eraser faces the wall...see you you get on...
  11. that sounds like the way forward, how to I go about setting up a one way trust? Thanks!
  12. Hi I have two networks set up at a school, One is curriculum and the other is Admin I have two NICs on the curriculum DC and thought I would configure the non-used one for the admin range, thereby giving access to curriculum resorces/file to admin staff... This does work well but whenever the admin NIC is enabled the curriculum workstations no-longer recieve an ip address from DHCP (invaild ip)? any ideas? Thanks
  13. you could also try dumpchk.exe from: http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/DevTools/Debugging/default.mspx , and analyse the dump file. You might get a clue at which device or driver is causing the problems. How to use Dumpchk.exe to check a Memory Dump file also let us know if the chkdsk crashes the server (just in case)
  14. WebDAV uses port 80, the same port used by HTTP for web access would any other ports need to be open?
