  1. Hi Everyone, I'm Celeste. I've spent 30 years in IT in corporate America. I've grown up with the industry - using card unit-record equipment, IBM mainframes, Unix, PCs, etc. As the industry grew, requiring more specialization, I went less technical & more business: application programming, systems analysis, training, systems design, business analysis, etc. I've spent the last 6 years doing free lance work for small businesses & non-profits. I'm always open to work on small projects. In the last 2 years, I've added teaching middle-school kids (10-14 years). I'm looking for any tools that will hold the interest of the kids and will actually be educational. (the cheaper the better) I'm also considering moving to high school. Any direction or words of wisdom would be appreciated. Thanks, Celeste
  2. I'm not familiar enough with VB.Net to know for sure ... but I do have some programming sense that may help ... [*]is the unsave record the first or last or somewhere in the middle? [*]are you sure that the problem is related to record count? (perhaps there is a bad record that gets included frequently based on selection criteria) [*]have you been able to identify & analyze the problematic record? [*]is there invalid data in the field? [*]does the database not allow null values in the field? [*]do you have some sort of character that is fooling the program? (line feed, paragraph mark, unmatched quote) I hope these thoughts have been useful in assisting you to find your problem. Celeste
