Hi I am trying to set up a thin client to boot to a VDi I have found some information about thinstation and 2x products and also i have been given advice about modifying the XPe shell to boot the thin client up to the broker. But its just really confused me where i need to start looking with setting this up. Problem i am having is i dont know where to start with setting up the TC. i have HP t5720 and they have XPe on them. do i just set the TC up to pxe boot to something? I have other servers that use pxe boot for imaging via ghost and altris, so how would this effect the pxe boot?? i have ESX and virtual centre setup on my network to work the VDi thanks for any advice fil

Hi Ric Thanks for the help with the thin client info The reason we are looking at VDI for the thin client is cause we want to use roaming profiles over the network. using a roaming profile on fat clients is ok, but the only solution for the thin clients is the VDI we have vmware in school as we have virtualised some servers but not used the VDI to a client Any ideas to help or other solutions to better VDI?? Ric Thats good news now, we are new to looking at VDi to use with thin clients, how would we set up the T5270 with the client?? do you have any experience using the vmware vdi client and have an idea of what we would need?? Thanks Fil

you take the TS server out the pool, fix the problem then put it back - just have more than one server to run apps

how do you work with fat clients that have apps and thin clients that dont have apps How would you force the icons on to a thin client?
