We are currently trialling Parago as an inventory tool. Seems great so far. Runs around the network picking up hardware, software, licencing and builds an image of the school so no exactly what is in every room. Also comes with barcoding option (for another fee i may add)! My boss used Spiceworks initially but wasnt doing the job spent so much extra time on it!!

Our School recently purchased CS4 Design Premium site liecence. works out that if you were to buy 10-15 copies of the programmes seperately it cost more than a 500 clients site licence. Our Art department and IT departments love it. We purchsed it From Academia Educational Software, Academic Software, Educational software licensing, Training Resources, discounted Student Software, discounted Education Software was about £800 less than what Pugh were advertising it for and it arrived the next day!! With regards to upgrades i belive if you purchsed CS3 in a certain time frame you got free upgrades to CS4. Alternatively you can now take out maintence plans which will provide you 24 months upgrade protection. Works out a lot cheaper than starting all over again

I know what you mean i looked into changing our AV a few years back and i get calls ever year 1 month before renewal, we are only a tiny school. Try Academia. Academia.co.uk they supplied this for one of my collegeues but i keep well out of it.

I'm new to all of this so i'll see if this works Try Academia they deal only in software licencing for Education. They really know ther stuff and very competative. Much cheaper Adobe licencing compared to our previous suppliers.
