Hi all anyone come across the problem of where you need to make a course in course manager so exam results can be assigned to it. The course is not part of our timetable just pupils sitting the exam. used to be able to do this before course manager got updated to new version. i have had the timetabler make dummy course's on the time table so they be made in course manger that way but it still didn't work. every time i make the course active i click save, everything is fine doesn't give me any errors but i search for the course and it still inactive, run all the updates to course update and val update. nothing seems to work so any help be very very helpful

We had the same and with profiles as well, but no way of finding out if there really was any data there in the first place just have to take their word on it. But as there no record of the data it cant be getting from the pc to the sever so must be a network or pc issue well i guess with SIMS could be anything lol.

Hey Jon, If the class is linked to more than one teacher make sure that only one teacher has enter the comment as they cant see if the other has put a comment in. also if the timetable is set up in a way that the teacher gets the same pupils but under a different class code. same pupil same subject but 2 comments. hope i made scene there.

Sound like a printer drive problem, try updating the driver to the newest driver available.

Hi i have been give this list of things to do in office 2007 to stop this. its a bit of a b%$l drag so gave up and just make it in 2007 and have old pc with office 2003 on it to just open and save the template. Little worried as xp and office 2003 supports being pulled so may be asked to get it off the network for virus reason hope captia fix it before then. Localzuk i think is right, other thing you can do is copy the connect ini from C drive and paste it over the Clients PC one. We had problems with the connect ini with the redirect and firewalls. Copy the clients connect ini and put it some where safe just in case you need to put it back.

Also see if you had a antivirus update, can block SIMS if not on the trusted programs list

Hi, Have you updated your office from the last time you entered tags,2007 onwards can have problems with Tags. There is a sheets somewhere i can dig out that tells you what settings to use in 2007 and 2010 for this problem.

Hi all, Has anyone had trouble with resolution setting and icon setting not being applied to SIMS. I have a machine where some of SIMS text and boxes have changes to fit the icon size setting where other part have stayed as the set resolution. Is there any way to set icon and front size in SIMS ?

I am not sure of putting the sen column on as I know that some time the reg may go on the projector if a teacher not paying attention. And they do print off reg for a class list. Don’t think this information should be that easy to access or be seen. Was just looking for a change in colour of the name. as it is possible as its done when a pupil is on report card. But thank u all for the tips though.

Hi all i have been asked if it is possable to have some type of indicator on the REG of a classes to show that a pupil in the classes is a sen pupil. something like when a pupils name is highlighted in red when they are on report card. using SIMS as MIS. Thanks all

i have the class teachers doing that, but they still want to see it in a subject base. tryed to get them to use the review but they dont like it. battling systems and teachers here lol. training whats training. 4 days of training here to know sims.net inside and out lol

Hey all, we using sims profiles, and iam trying to come up of a way for teacher to Q&A the reports. we free text so cant use the commet bank check and appove process. at the moment i have given acess to the head of subjects. in system manager of profiles operator so that they can see all of thier departmants reports and check them. the down side of this is that they can see and change everyones reports which is not a very good i know. i have had an idea of copying the profiles operator and removing the edit option so it just read only. but i cant seem to have just the read only option. any help be very gateful for thanks guys
