Yep thats what I hoped it would look like. What I get on the Hive repository is a directory tree of erratically numbered folders, our Moodle will not take uploads of more than 64M and the compressed package is 1.19Gb as a compressed folder. Using the hive means we dont need multiple iterations of files we can link to a single object from a number of courses.

Interesting (like in "may you live in intersting times!" I am currently trying to get something useful from the OxBox Geography OCR A SCORM package which I have uploaded to Harvest Road Hive. When it is eventually up it looks horrible, there is no pattern to the content or an understandable menu structure, you can poke around inside it and find bits but the teachers are going to ignore it as it is. Oxford have suggested that the problem is the huge size of the upload but since when I explode the package onto a local machine I get an identical confusing structure and content to the Hive loaded version I dont think its the upload. I have raised the problem with Link2ICT, anyone out there got any ideas?

Just been given the latest edition of ProEngineer Wildfire 4 (Date Code M092) to install ("You have plenty of time to install it , we don't want it until after break tomorrow"). Tested it by installing on an stripped out RM build machine as a local install because of the size (2GB+) - it works, OK it throws up warning messages because it wants to go off to the internet but it works. The problems start when you want to put it onto a full network configured machine. It will work for someone with administrator access but only once and then you have to restart the machine, the browsing feature is great, it allows you to see all the drives everywhere on the network and delete files anywhere! At the moment the plus point is it doesnt work for a student user at all, I spoke to RM about this and found out that there is some clever person out there in the wild who has found a way to make it work for student users. Apparently the program writes a batch file when it starts up then runs it and then deletes it all at startup, the solution is apparently to allow this batch file to run by adding an exception so it can run and do its job. Me, I am not clever enough to solve this on my own, and the RM guy wasnt allowed to give me contact details for the wizz kid, (RM guy did go away and try to persuade the powers that be to let him but no go). HELP!

Just been "gifted" the install of ProENGINEER Wildfire 4 by our DT department onto a CC3 network from a disc supplied by our local CTC. I am having all the problems mentioned plus firewall exceptions because the CTC has given us the cutdown student version. RM's AppWiz wont play ball because the package build is over the 2Gb limit of what will work, a local install works for those with admin access only, it has been suggested that the pupils are given this level.......................................................................! The CTC have done this for their visiting pupils! No one at PTC mentioned Wildfire 5 when I contacted them and the people didnt seem worried about the access concerns for a school.

Just purchsed Digital Worlds GIS to run on an RM CC3 network after Geog Teachers came back from a course. Having problems with network install. Standalone install doesnt feel friendly but watch this space.
